I've got a bet with Brendan we can get more than 500 votes on this. Let's show him what real bloggers can do!

I vote Tim Haun as Goalie. He has been great so far. Nick has been great too.....but has anyone expected Tim to be this good?

Frank Anzalone is the Coach of the first half so far. He has this group in the thick of the playoff hunt after a super slow start and with a group of guys that are playing very hard. He has done a great job.

Those are just 2 people I wanted to throw out there for Brendan to consider as nominees. Would love to see Bobby Phillips get considerations as a D-man and Schrocky as Rookie of the First half.

Blake Sebring should get a Dickie for best IHL beat writer. He is on top of his game and brings the breaking news faster than anyone in the league. No one does a better job than Super Fan.

Here are my picks at the half way point...

MVP = Rob Nolan (Flint)...I dont think there is one player more important to thier team than this guy (leads all goalies in GAA)

Best D-man = Daniel Tetrault (Port Huron)...Mobody else has really stood out for me and this guy does it all for the Icehawks...

Best Goalie = Rob Nolan (Flint)...doesnt have the good win/loss record; but pretty much leads all goalies in about every important category...(1b and 1c would go to Larry Sterling and Tim Haun)

Best Rookie = Mickael Bedard (Port Huron)...by far the most impressive rookie this year to date. Point a game guy that leads his team in points and is third in the league...

Coach = John Marks (Dayton)...This team more than any other is the team I dont want to see the K's play in the playoffs (assuming both make it of course). I think he's done very well putting that team together and keeping them together during that fiasco earlier where owners where changed and has them playing a style that will give teams fits come playoff time...

JM has a sweet job, he can blog at work, I assume, and is awesome at it. Either that or he works for a company where they have an 8AM morning meeting where they all brainstorm ideas for his blog entries and in that case, he has a great team of brain-stormers. Either way, I like his awards alot.

I agree with Haun. He carried this team while Boucher was out and has made a solid case for being this team's #1 this season, we have 2 great goalies, Haun has been excellent. MVP like.

Can you imagine if they had not have kept Haun and kept Tyler??? Glad the fans on here all made their case, I am sure it didn't matter what we said, but either way, they listened to us. I think....LOL
