I am very fired up for this weekend series. Colorado like the Komets are one of the premier organizations in minor league hockey and I am hoping these games bring intensity like the Wichita games had!
These should be playoff like games and hopefully the Komets amp up there game, Colorado is a team you should be "up" for anyways.... especially since they handed the Komets their you know what out there.
As far as the edge being taken off the year, yeah this season hasn't gone like we all wanted....but we still have a decent team that if they can get on a roll could be very dangerous....the talent is there!
Also anyone who wants this season to "just be over"....thats just a losers mentality, many teams don't even make the playoffs for 5 years in a row....we have a bit of an off season and some want to give up on the season....if anything this is the time to give this team more support....quit being a loser and a cry baby ;)

Thanks Komets39, I thought I was the only sane person out there! I am excited for the games this weekend, not sure why, just a feeling I have. I think we are going to have a great weekend!
When the schedule first came out I was really excited for these games. Colorado always has a talented and tough team plus it meant the return on Mac...As our season crapped out and Mac no longer being on the Eagles roster I lost some of the fire I jade for this weekend. BUT that fire is back. We are fighting for playoff positioning a d they are trying to win the division title, both teams are going to be doing everything possible to win these games. Heading into the playoffs these 2 games could easily create an awesome playoff push or it could kick us whet the sun doesn't shine and with this team, there is NO WAY of knowing which it will be.
On top of that there's the strong chance of Nasty vs Weapon X Alex Penner which would be a great fight, plus with the addition of Krug throwing the body like a mad man I feel we can match up well against their overall team toughness. Everyone needs to come in with their heads in the game and go out to send a message that we have tradition of strong teams and this year will be no different. The playoffs start TONIGHT so to answer your question...yes, I am excited for this weekend.
I think of these games as an opportunity to show the Eagles that the K's are still able to be a dangerous team come playoff time, and to be prepared for a much different opponent then what the Eagles faced in Colorado.
Fired up HECK YES We need to come out flying and hit hard play hard. This team should come out like a cornered wounded animal these last two regular season games maen a lot to our playoff position. Let's GO KOMETS
Excited since the schedule came our. Originally to see Macmillan again but now to see how the Penner brothers perform. A coach strip tease wouldn't be bad either. LOL.
Could you imagine a fight between Mirasty and MacMillan had Brad not retired?
I hate to say that I feel a little hockeyed-out. It is like we're still in the preliminary bouts, and the main event is still to come- We need a second season to start over and make everything right.
Let's hope our slush, I mean ice, doesn't have too many potholes tonight.
