Tailing the Komets

On injured reserve

Komets General Manager David Franke just told me that forward Matt Hunter is out two-to-four weeks with a bruised chest suffered Friday in Flint.

There are a lot of banged up bodies on this team right now. They had an optional skate at McMillen today and only a few guys showed up. Everybody's still tired from the weekend.

Bummer to hear about Hunter. I'm hoping for a speedy recovering.

The boys had a rough weekend. I'm not suprised that only a few showed up today. I'm still tired from the weekend too and all I did was drive the car from Ft Wayne to Flint, back to Fort Wayne, then to Muskegon, then Fraser and back home to Ft Wayne. I can't imagine what they must feel like.

How about your poor car?

Hey Jennifer, where did you sit in Flint?

My car is ok. And really that trip was nothing compared to a few that I've taken. This weekend I have to work in Indy, but have to be back for the game Friday and then back down to Indy on Saturday. This time I will see about 550 miles. It is all worth it though. My next road trip is March 24 to Missouri & Rockford to catch the Blues along with the Komets. I'm thinking of renting a car for that trip though.

I sat next to the K's bench for the first period and then moved right behind the bench for the 2nd & 3rd. I was so cold during the first period since I was too close to the ice to benefit from the overhead heaters.

You know Laurie, I just told you where I was in Motor City. I guess last weekend is all a blurr now. Let's see in Flint I was on the right side of the bench about 6 rows from the ice.
