Neither team this weekend will be an easy nut to crack, and this is the time of year that every team tries to push for playoff positioning. 0-3 is certainly a good possiblity, but I'm not prepared to predict that officially. I might go 1-3, though. I wouldn't expect more than 3 points for the weekend max.

And JM, you are correct, the vast, vast majority of hockey players are great. I know several of the Komets as they are coaches to my kid and they are great guys and players. I think Cowan just accidentally got too close to the kid when he came down the red line. Still, it would have been nice had he been a little more respectful of him. Kid was only 9 years old. You and I, we know human nature and all that. A 9 year old kid who sees a 6'3" guy coming at him full speed on the ice? Not so much, especially when he's not in a Komet uniform.
At least it all turned out well. I was actually just joking about the bench clearing brawl and jumping the glass. I'm sure RK was kidding about the "lawsuit". We all know it never would get to that point....the redcoats would stop me way before that would happen....

Of course there was that kid in Montreal last spring who got snowed by Ovechkin himself. He was probably more inclined to brag about it, though.

Well, I'm not the biggest Ovi fan, but had he not stopped in time, the flag would have hit him right in the face, plus that kid was directly in front of the door. What marketing genius put him there or did not gently move him over so the players could get on to the bench with no problems? Our minor league teams's college interns who handle the promos know enough to get our flag bearers out of the way of our team, at least. Cowan just skated straight down the red line towards my kid. Again, I'm sure he had no mal intent....I'm sure he's a fine upstanding citizen. It all turned out fine. Jason could stand up for himself now. :)
And BTW....no waiver signed to skate that flag. Wide open for anything.
