Nice interview, btw. I think of the season like a horse race. The horses that win are never the ones out front for the first 1/2 to 3/4 of the race. They'd wear themselves out trying to run at full speed the whole time. They know when to turn it on, and while this Komets team could have/should have done it sooner, I don't think it's too late. We'll see, of course. And I'm sure everyone on the blogs will have perfect coaching advice with the benefit of hindsight. LOL.

Funny thing.....that guest with that leprechaun looks an awful lot like my buddy Chris Griffith....hmmm.....I've called him other names besides Chris before, but "Dick Close" is NOT one of them....LOL....
And good analogy with the racehorses, there, Wendy. Although I'm sure someone will say that someone on the team needs to be put out to pasture. I do think it is funny, though, that a few of these same people who are posting decent things about them this week, I remember, had given up on them a couple weeks ago. (not you, just a few others....I'd hate to mention names)
And I learned a few new coaching tidbits this weekend....I'm thinking about assisting on the bench for the kids games next season. I'll need to learn a bit more, but I figure if I start with the defense and work my way down the whole bench....? I've learned more this season just by sitting and watching. And listening to pre-game strategy sessions is pretty awesome as well. Sitting at the head coach's table was fun too, but that did not teach me anything, Wendy....wonder why? :)

Because we were too busy trying to get me fired? LOL. And good luck if you decide to assist next season. Sounds like you are picking things up in leaps and bounds.

I'm thinking I need a large hat to wear on set so I don't get sunburned. Anybody know where I could find one?
