Interesting interview Blake. Like all of the bloggers, I want to hear the truth, not something sugar-coated for general mass consumption. Praise people when they deserve it, but don't be afraid to tell it like it is either. As you stated, the Komets as a team are definitely inconsistent this year. Individually the players are inconsistent too. Our top guns P.C. Druin and Matt Syroczynski are good examples. Inconsistency is not the mark of a good team. Flint is an improving team, but there was no reason, hot goal tender or not, for the Komets not to perform better than they did against them on Sunday. I don't care if the Komets lose a game in an all-out battle, but "flat" performances, no traffic in front of the net, a multitude of turnovers, and lots of odd-man rushes plainly show a general lack of effort, or even worse, talent.
Earlier we all made hopeful lists of what the Komets needed for Christmas. (I had a Christmas Carol type ghost to shape up the team.) Soon it will be what the Komets need for Easter. If the Easter Bunny doesn't bring them what they need soon though, eventually it will be what kind of golf clubs the players need for the off season.

I hope that Janice's predictions on Woods' scoring is true. He needs to start scoring, and now would be a good time. Until then, we're going to miss you Mightbite.
