+/- a stat like any other. It doesn't mean everything, but it does mean something.

Colin Chaulk was only a +3 in the playoffs... Must have been sluffing off again.

There were times he wasn't backchecking as much as his rep as a defensive forward would dictate he should have been

I want to caution all this cup talk.
Most of us have very little idea what talent is floating around the CHL that we have not seen. For all we know what we think is the crown of AA hockey rosters might only be mediocre when they have to travel across the country and play these other teams.
I don't have any FACTS that say this will be the case and I don't think this is a mediocre team. Just saying we have to look at this team in a different light with the changes in league and schedule.

Mr. Snufflupugus,

Good point. The travel could be a big factor. I know how tired I get sometimes after taking in a road game or after a trip to Chicagoland to visit Kathleen's side of the family.

From I've seen on the CHL website, this league has some decent talent. I'm still looking forward to this season and to quote Captain James T. Kirk "....the great experiment" (ST: IV The Voyage Home)
