Good for the vets!! I hope every Komet plays like these guys have been. We do have some great players. Hopefully it was just that famous December slump, and we'll kick some butt now.

Any word on those alleged possible signings, Blake (Stauffacher and Booras) that have been rumored lately? I am not sure on Booras, I'd have to look him up, but Stauffacher was a tough little player who could find the net pretty well, from what I remember. Wonder why Bloomington let him go?

Isn't bloomington famous for letting players go? That is how we got Leo!! Now that the vets are starting to light it up we should start turning that famous corner that we usually do about this time of year!!

Gasp! Positivity!! Thank you!! And yes, that is true, they do, and that is how we got Leo. I had forgotten that. He needs to find his groove this year. Poor guy seems to be in a slump this season. He's not doing terribly, I guess just compared to last season, he's just not shining like he did. Maybe he'll find his spark, too. I hope so. He's got a lot of talent!

Only thing I know is the Komets can't officially talk to either because they are property of other teams. They've been asked. Booras is expected to be in the lineup tonight for Bloomington at QC. I really doubt they'd get rid of him, but who knows?

Hello Bertramfan22. I may be mistaken, but I believe Bloomington let Leo Thomas go after they aquired Marty Standish. Standish had played in the CHL and was a good player. I'm not sure why Thomas was the one they wanted to let go, but it sure was a nice break for the K's.....to BLB, I think Thomas is doing just fine. He leads the team with twelve goals. Taking that average out for the full year it would translate to a 34-36 goal season. When a team is having problems scoring, other teams really start to defend the guys who are producing.....I'm going to be real interested in tonight's game in Flint. 1) They lost pretty bad the last time they were there, 2) the K's are as close to a full lineup as they have been all year long, and 3) they scored 5 in a losing effort in Bloomington, 7 in a winning effort against Muskegon, and 5 in a winning effort against Bloomington. In between they've had a few "stumbles" but maybe the offense is starting to pick it up a little. I hope so....I still think they need another scorer and physical player. Anyway, I'm going to listen to the game tonight because after New Years Eve and New Years Day, I need a rest.

every year we struggle till after christmas. how much we step it up determines the year we will have. thats why ive tried to stay at an even keel and tried to tell the naysayers it was too early to complain. now the real hockey begins!

Wow....Leo leads the team in scoring...? My bad. Sorry about that! He's just done it so quietly, I honestly had not noticed. He's just not been quite as "flashy" as he was last season, I suppose. Don't get me wrong, I really like him, and I think he's a heck of a player. They all have their off weeks, even months. I was just thinking he was having his right now. Huh. Oops! :)
