When tied 2-2 in a series, the Komets have won Game 5 nine of the last 10 times. Before this hot streak, they were 3-7. Of those last 10 games, seven were played at Memorial Coliseum, just like this Game 5 will be. The one loss was in 1994 when they lost in triple overtime to Atlanta 7-6. They led that game 5-0 before the Knights started their comeback.

Blake, I remember listening to that 1994 Atlanta Knight-Komet game on WOWO. I may be mistaken, but in that game didn't the Komets Mitch Messier have four goals and the Knights Brent Gretzky have five?
I remember the feeling I had after that loss. It wasn't good.
Don't remember about Messier, but it was Atlanta's Steve Larouche that scored a bunch of goals that night, including the game winner.
i was traveling and flew home on the same plane as the komets, the people on the plane started chanting "lets go komets", that was pretty neat.
Mrs.mightbite out of the hospital & headed for the Bahamas:) will miss gm.5/ I had an Atlanta Knights jersey=but got rid of it
that is awesome news.
mightbite--Good news is always great to hear. Sorry you will miss game 5. Enjoy your time away. Somehow we will try and win without you.
Glad to hear it mightbite.
Tell mrs. mightbite I'm glad she's doing better. Hope the Bahamas survive you two!
Was Steve Fletcher on the Knights before or after he came here, and was he there in '94? I'm sorry, I should look it up, I know I could. I just was asking because I know you guys would know quicker than I could find it...
thanks to all / Fletcher played 1 year in Atlanta
Happy Birthday BAM24
Fletch played 23 games for Atlanta in the '95-'96 season, his last season. He also played 2 games for us that year but I don't know which was last, I think Atlanta.
I'm for the Flyers
Get ready, HOBERG is the referee for tonights game. Another one of Burgee's "Buddies"
Hoberg blows, he will ruin a good game tonight. He shouldn't be in the finals. Gimmie Hawthorne or Langdon, Better yet Brad Jones should lace em up.
Fletch was here the whole 93-94 season (and 94-95), and played a pair of games in the 95-96 season before being cut by Dave Farish. Played w/Atlanta the remainder of that season, then retired.
Blake: Do you know if the sound system has been repaired yet? I know it's pretty trivial, but when you're used to all the bells and whistles, along with having the calls and players announced, it grows on you more than you realize, at least it has for me.
After game three, I say it will be....
Komets in OT with the winner from Warner...Komets-17 Flint-16
RK--I think it has been repaired. IPFW had their graduation Wednesday. I have heard no compliants about that. Blake is up in Flint lounging by the pool, drinking Foo Foo's or doing whatever it is reporters do when they don't have anything to report. I really don't know it for fact but my instincts tell me IPFW's money talked.
I hope it is repaired so they can turn it down a little bit on the odd section side of the building. It has been too loud the last 2 games.
I'm stopping by Tim Hortons before the game. It's been ages since I had some Timbits.
Thanks, Dschebig. I appreciate the answer.
Yep, IPFW has MY money...LOL...
