Komets are simply skating around, past and through the Lumberjacks who can't seem to get out of their own zone. Fort Wayne's forecheck has really bottled up the Muskegon offense.
I'm really surprised Muskegon hasn't pulled rookie goaltender Kevin Armstrong who hasn't played poorly, but his team could use a shakeup.

Just a dominating performance by the K's tonight. Just keep the one game at a time approach. The next two in Muskegon will be tough games for the K's. Also, Jake Pence played a solid game on defense when he keeps it simple he is a very solid play-off type d-man.
If that's the last hockey game I see in fort wayne this year that's all right with me, let's take the next two.
Is it possible that Clayton Pool is injured and that is why Ramsey didn't pull Armstrong? Anyways Burgee I totally agree, if that is the last time we see them in Fort Wayne that was one heck of a way to go out!!

What an absolutely beautiful game on both sides of the puck tonight for the Komets. The forecheck was smothering the Lumberjacks even on their power plays. Not sure if any one else has mentioned it but the fact that even our D-men are getting to the net for goals certainly shows the whole team is at a high comfort level with each other it seems. At any rate, Muskegon has played well at home these play offs and even though they put the hurt on pretty bad, I tend to think that Game 3 and 4 will probably show a different type of Muskegon team. Go Komets!!!!
I agree. I have a feeling that game 3 and 4 will be a bit different. DiPace was out in the hallway and talked to me and a buddy a bit. He said he had a sprained ankle and just couldn't go. I'm not sure I'm buying that, but I believe he will be in the lineup Tuesday. Also, the Jacks were a pretty fired up group toward the end of the game towards the crowd that was around me!!! I have a feeling the will bring more of their physical nature to the table in Game 3 VERY EARLY. We really can't match that unless we dress Legualt, and I'm not sure if he is in the shape to play at the tempo they are playing at right now!

Something happened in lower 215 by the Muskegon bench. I did not see the whole action, but apparently a Muskegon player sprayed a bunch of kids with his water bottle. I think it was Gens. One of the owners of Peter Franklin Jewlers sits down there with his family, he was wet and he was PISSED!!!
By the way, if anyone knows who raided the pile of hats that were thrown on the ice in the 3rd period after Hukalo's Hat Trick, please let me know. Myself as well as about 5 other people did not get our hats back after the game.
So you can actually get your hat back after throwing it??? I thought that was only in KZOO!
As for the lower 215, A fan went down there midway through the 3rd period. He made a comment about Later's hair and he became very vulgar with his response. There are alot of younger kids in that section. Towards the end of the game, Gens came to the glass and tried to provoke the fan. There was a little girl behind the fan and she didn't want the fan to yell, so he didn't. Gens continued his tirade, with 2 or 3 squirts of a water bottle.
I am said fan. I don't curse, nor say things that would offend any kids, family or people around me. I would like to think that people in 215 actually enjoy me down there.

It looked like Loser Later was spraying the crowd behind the penalty box as well after his wonderful set of 2-handed slashes to the back of our players once again. How does this MORON get away with the crap he pulls on the ice everytime we play against the Fury Jack? I have heard other fans in other towns say the samething about this classless jerk. The league needs to look into the number of times he takes 2-handers to the back of opponents at the end of games when it is obvious the game is over and he is simply trying to injure the other team. I can remember at least 5 games during the regular season that he did this sam very thing and the league did nothing. In my opinion, this guy needs to be dealt with, and not by the IHL, by Mr. Mac or Mr. Legault.
