Tailing the Komets

it's raining in Port Huron

Not nearly as pretty a drive today as it was on Saturday. I talked to someone with the team, and they said they heard it might be a sellout tonight because of the $5 tickets. I don't know if that's true or not. I caught some grief for saying Muskegon was expecting a big crowd for Game 4, despite the fact that a Muskegon team official told me the info. I debated posting that at the time, but figured it would serve the FW fans best if I did post it in case there was a sellout and they needed to arrive early.

It's been my experience that big crowds either get you pumped up or make you so nervous they are a detriment. We'll see.

Komets are sticking with their normal goaltender rotation with Kevin Reiter in nets. I believe Dean Sanborn will be the ref, but I'm not 100 percent positive. He was the back-up ref in Fort Wayne on Sunday.

Found a strange stat in the pregame notes. Port Huron is 6-2 in the playoffs, and the Komets are 5-4, but both Kevin Reiter and Nick Boucher have better goals against averages than Port Huron's Larry Sterling.

Time to head to the rink.

John Searle is the ref tonight and Bob Langdon is the back-up.
