Just one thing after another

So there you are, just minding your own business, growing a little pot in your cornfield, videotaping an unsuspecting naked woman once in a while, just for recreation -- you're not a pervert or anything. Then along comes this busybody cop, who was off-duty and should have been minding his own business:

Franklin was off-duty, practicing his golf game by driving balls into a cornfield adjacent to his property in Paoli Oct. 5, when he discovered a 3 1/2 foot tall pot plant growing in the field as he retrieved his golf balls.

ISP spokesman Sgt. Todd Ringle said Franklin contacted the ISP marijuana eradication team and troopers got a warrant to arrest Richard Haley, 51, Mitchell, and John DeLaney, 48, Bedford, for growing pot in the cornfield.

Police arrested Haley at his father's home in Paoli near Franklin's home Tuesday afternoon. He is charged with possession and cultivating more than 30 grams of marijuana.

[. . .]

A further search of the home turned up a digital video camera used to record some of the illegal drug activity, said Ringle.

When troopers further viewed the contents of the camera, they discovered someone had videotaped a woman as she undressed, and determined the woman was being videotaped without her knowledge, from outside her home in Beford.

30 grams? Did I read that correctly? That's just a shade over an ounce. A teen-ager could smoke that up in a week or less. Good thing the authorities found that nekkid lady video to make it all worth their while.

And how much corn, useful for making whiskey, did that officer trample with his wanton golf-ball bashing?
