Stories about player's pre-game routines are always interesting.
How about fan's pre-game routines? Any body have some?
I have a few. I try to park in a particular spot or as close to it as I can get. I always walk up the left escalator. I always enter the arena through the same entrance even though I moved my seats five or six years ago. These go back to the '92-'93 Turner Cup season.
I also have a Komets coffee mug I quit drinking out of on the day of a home game a few seasons ago. This season I reversed that and only drink out of it on a home game day. That could still switch back. In fact, depending on tonight's result today might be the last day and I'll go back to the old system.
Back in my youth when I played I also had a couple but those are just too weird to talk about..... :-)

Yeah, JM.....you know my real name....what do they say? Although, knowing men as I do, I can only hazard a guess....and don't worry, Blake. I won't even begin to say that on here! LOL....
I have a few game day "must-do's" myself....I have to bring the boy, he is their good luck charm. Gotta wear one of the Komets shorts, jerseys, etc. Can't just wear anything. And I have about 4 or 5 bracelets that I wear now to each game. was changing them up for a while, but I found that that did not work for me, so I switched back. I also usually make it for warm-ups. If I don't, they usually do badly. Unfortunately, my husband does not like to get there early, so I have to nag and whine to get there early when he goes. Lucky for me, I'm in the majority in the household on that one!
And if all else fails, there's always the fail-proof method....make Deuce sit in the lower level with me (he usually sits in club) and drink lots of vodka cranberry foo-foo drinks. That has worked well the past couple years. I think I'll keep that last part. Well, that and all the ones before it....can't change it up now!

My pre-game ritual is planning to get there when the doors open, then putting off getting ready until I barely have enough time to get there before the game starts. D'oh!
