Opening Arguments

Killer weed

Here's an idea. Since people hang around waiting to be executed for about 20 years, at great public expense, and we're getting so squeamish that even lethal injections are considered barbaric, why not change the method of execution to secondhand smoke? To hear some people tell it, that would clear them out of death row a lof quicker.

Nah. That really would be "cruel and unusual" punishment.

I love it...LOL...better than execution (read death) by OLD AGE...!

Makes me wonder though..."if" all penal facilities are products of the GOVERNMENT...will they ALSO have to become "smoke-free"?

Now there's a good argument for privatizing all the jails....(they can still smoke 'em if they got 'em)!

I assume the prisons would become smoke-free zones, and who would care about inconvenience to the inmates? Not me. As for physical deterioration by second-hand smoke, we have quicker, more reliable ways to mete out society's justice. It's pretty much a non-problem in deciding the law of the land.
