Rookie Matt Koenig will be here Friday to back up Nick Boucher. Parris Duffus will be the emergency back-up goaltender Thursday. Koenig led Wisconsin-Stout to the Division III Frozen Four last year and has been playing senior hockey this year in Minnesota.

Where I have heard that name??? Was he one of the goalies in camp this year?
I was thinking that too. I know I've seen that name before. I don't read a lot of college hockey news, though I had been reading some, so it's possible I saw it there.

I'm guessing you are all thinking of Jeremy Koning.
He played 4 games for the Komets in the 05-06 post-season.

I wonder why they didn't sign Ian Keserich after his season in Wichita this year? Every game he won was a shutout!
Don't know about the others, but I wouldn't be confusing him with Jeremy. I didn't start following the Komets again until after that.
