Great story Blake!
Here buy a Molle jersey :)
BTW, any word on O'Connor? You've probably mentioned it in another thread already; but cant remember, thx...
You describe the horn as adding to the entertainment value, and it does. Does anyone else thing the over-all entertainment this year is down a bit, and I'm not talking about the hockey quality.
Like it or not, the casual fan with a family helps pay the bills, and they come for a total experience including hockey, Icy, between period antics, and break-in-the-action games in the stands. It seems this year the mix is less diverse, less fun, and designed more to advertise a product and less as fan entertainment. I've even wondered if the league asked us to tone-down the musical jabs at players when they get thrown in the penalty box. We're down a few hundred in average attendance, and some of that is due to the lousy hockey, but is some of it due to a less-fun time?
The first time I heard that horn I thought the Edmond Fitzgerald was pulling into the arena! Good story Blake.
For the rest of the year I hope that David Franke stays very, very busy blowing the horn!
Good reference, Tim. I had to do a report on that in elementary school.
Blake! Tell whoever the genius was who gave you the idea for this story they are well....genius! ;) Well written sir!
