Komets look like they don't belong on the ice with this team.
Disappointing game.
Are we this bad....or are they that good.
Colorado is doing to us what Rapid City did to us to start the season.

No offense....but who cares how Mirasty and Cescon did....
Mirasty has one shift....one fight....one draw.....and we are losing 5-1.
We don't belong on the ice with this team....bottomline.
They look like an AHL team.....we look like an IHL2 team.

We struggle with Dayton and Evansville....we get owned by Quad City most of the time.....We aren't as good as Bloomington.....
And teams like Colorado and Rapid City are 2 leagues better than us.

How did Curadeau play in the ECHL?
No offense....but no way is he good enough to play in the AHL.
He is invisible in a game like this....and has been 7/8 of the season.
I am really depressed with this team after what I have witnessed tonight.

6-1 Colorado Final.
We have nothing for that team.
Their big guy goon Penner skates a regular shift, and is a heavy weight....and can actually play hockey too.
That was definitely Men against Boys tonight.
Tomorrow night ought to be interesting....same game plan and execution, and we will have another 6-1 or 8-0 game.
Our style of play is unsuccessful against the style that Colorado and RC plays.
I don't look for the K's to win a single playoff game at this rate.
I am not a negative nellie....I am just being honest.

Never.
This team didn't compete real well tonight.
Some guys looked invisible.
Leo, PC, Guy, Phillips, Curadeau, really all of them...but those were some of the ones that seemed to disappear.
We don't body-check at all. We avoid contact. We can't get the puck thru the neutral zone, and we give up 10-15 odd man rushes.....
The defense is pinching a ton, and getting skated by alot.
This group of defenders are soft to the core. They don't play physical as a group.
We don't create alot of good looks consistantly...
Especially against teams with this kind of system and talent.
This is who the Komets are I am afraid. I was really looking at this game as our measuring stick.....
Tomorrow night, to me, will tell us really what we are made of.....if we have the same result.....we will know how this team really stacks up in this league.
We are great when we play the weaker teams in this league, I am afraid.

Weird night. Allen/Texas 15 goals and only 6 total minor penalties. At some point you'd have thought someone would have started the rough stuff to break up the pond hockey. And no backups in that game really either. One goalie gave up six, the other 8 followed by an empty netter and only then did the backup go in for the final 2 minutes.

Not giving them an excuse, but if you are going to play at altitude, you've got to go out more than one day early to try to get acclimated. Anyone who has ever had altitude sickness will never forget it.

Several years ago I was flying back from Las Vegas with a friend, and we had to make an unscheduled layover in Denver. We were only there for a few hours, but I could tell the air was thinner, even inside the terminal.
I think the Komets had this difficulty in the old IHL days when they would go to Salt Lake and Denver. Again, not making excuses but, it was a younger player......one that people like to criticize (a lot) that scored our only goal....

It is nice to see the KOmets get knocked around.This is a soft hockey team & sims is a soft coach :)
Mirasty does not play for 2 weeks then is expected to win every fight, is this sims hockey or franke hockey????

Wow impressive game komets! As a coach you would think he would tell the players throw your body around, get in front of the net, it creates opportunities......Mirasty plays more shifts in the AHL then he does in the CHL makes alot of sense to me.....the guy can play besides fighting not saying he will score a bunch of goals but let him play more often........If sims was that great of a coach dont you think after winning 3 straight titles he wouldve had the chance to move up or get a better job????

A week at altitude wouldnt have made a difference. Athletes take months to get their lungs acclimated to the lack of oxygen. It's more of an advantage for altitude teams when they play at sea level too.
