Colin Chaulk got called for a kneeing major/game misconduct in the first minute, and then Missouri scored twice on the power play. The Mavericks have three power-play goals so far. Komets cut the margin to 3-2 at one point.
Looks like the start-of-the-week jinx is continuing and we'll have to see if their trend of not coming back when they trail after the first period continues as well.
I thought the game misconduct was the correct call. The only good thing about it is the Missouri player who was injured returned to the game so that would likely negate any extra suspension.
The Komets actually extended the power-play time against them on that play because did not replace Chaulk with a body in the penalty box, meaning they could not go back to full strength until there was a stoppage in play. Because there was no one to come out of the penalty box, the power play extended a few seconds.

That's the beauty of America. We can agree to diagree about the major and game given to Chaulk.
Next goal is a big one. Here's hoping the K's score it.
Fans can boo all they want; but if you stick your leg out, or wrap your arms around, or put tour stick in the mid section of a player going by you, then most of the time your gonna get called for a penalty......
I thought the call on Chaulk was the correct call. Still can't get a feel for this hockey club. Just feel they are still missing something on the ice.
Blake, any chance of posting video footage of the Chaulk penalty so everyone can see what actually happened?
Thanks for the clarification on the major Blake. Maybe I should read the blogs from the top down instead of going back and reading from older to newer? That way I wouldn't make points that have already been made.......
I am sure Chaulk didn't mean to do it and even if he did mean to do it because of who he is I am sure it was excusable and even if it isn't I will not be the one to say it!
Snuff, go to your room. Don't pick a fight.
Yes sir :(
Come on Snuff, you know Chaulk does no wrong
