What a heartwarming story and you Mr. Lyons are a true fan and hero of the Komets! I enjoyed watching Wick play and it was nice to be reminded of him.

A great story, a great gesture. It is a story like this that separates Fort Wayne fans, Fort Wayne players, and the way the community embraces the Komets as a whole, from other cities that have minor league hockey teams.

I must admit Police Officers really do have big hearts. But than I should know. It would really be great if the Komets and Officer Lyons presented it at a play-off game to "Wicks" family. He was truly a nice guy & a very good player. He died way to young.

I doubt that you would ever see this story on the front page of any newspaper even though that's where it should be!
