Tailing the Komets

Komets lose 4-3

And one person who did not think it was a very good game was Komets coach Al Sims.

``I didn't think it was great, not for us anyway. I thought we looked tired from Timmy Haun all the way out to everybody else. We didn't get the goaltending, and we didn't play good team defense. Our power play really let us down.

"Their big players came to play tonight, and they out-played our big players.

"It's our 10th game in 16 nights, and we did not have it. We were tired, and we made tired mistakes, tired passes. We just did not have it, and when they got that fourth goal, we generated one good chance with Chwedoruk from Hukalo, and that was it.

Haun is allowed to have a 75% night. We had this discussion a few days ago and it was determined that's fine at this level and it is ludicrous for any of us to expect the people we are paying to watch to give it all, or be on their game each night. Maybe Haun's hair got in his eyes a couple of times and that's why he couldn't see the puck coming. He and Warner should've invested in the $5 haircuts the other night.

As I said earlier, I thought the Komets played a good game up until the 3rd when they obviously shut it down. That fourth goal was the "off switch" and no one cared enough on the Komets bench to get up and turn it back on. A couple of different Komets took so long to skate across the ice, that when their replacements were finally able to get out onto the ice, the play was over. I get being tired, but sheesh, at least put SOME effort into getting off the ice so someone else can get out there and put their 75% in.

lower arena i think is 625 based on 40 games so thats a whole 15.62 per game if you take advantage of the early buy. this years single game tickets were 20.. so thats a savvings of 4.38 per ticket of 175.00 for the season. and if the single game rate goes up then its even a bigger savings.

Well if prices stay the same for lower arena at $625 (early bird discount) for next season and figuring in the new 35 home dates for next year, that comes out to $17.86 per game... This years at 38 home games (based on that same early bird price) that comes out to $16.44... So if everything stays the same then ticket prices would actually increase by $1.42.

I noticed in my STH form that they said there would be an "expanded playoffs" next year. Is this hinting that we will have many more teams joining the IHL or is there a plan to have 6 of the 7 teams make it with a bye for the top two? Anyone have some info we don't?

If the ticket prices, both season and individual, stay the same then the only people paying an increase would be STHs. It would still be a break, just less of one as JR pointed out.

So tell us Hoss, since you've received yours, DID THE PRICE GO UP???? :-)

I'm not sure where the ticket prices mentioned came from but, the prices on the Komet web page says: 2009-10 season prices.
