I don't have a lot for you tonight because I'm on HS basketball and I didn't get to listen or see the game. Doesn't sound like missed much. Here's a couple notes I noticed in th box score:
For the second game in a row, veteran winger P.C. Drouin was held without a shot on goal, joined by fellow forwrads Sean O'Connor, Brandon Naurato and Kaleigh Schrock in getting held off the shot chart. The Fort Wayne defensemen had 13 shots on goal and the forwards only 12.
I'm figuring they'll either get it figured out on the long bus rides this weekend or there will be pretty major changes early next week. Nothing would surprise me at this point; at least nothing would surprise me worse than what we've seen so far. This is unbelievable.

Blake, I can attest for Schrock.....he was balls to the walls all night long. He beatdown Galbraith and his cheapshots and stupid act, Lance is still a hack who runs his mouth, and Schrock made him pay physically. Schrock fought Richards as he had no choice because who else has the stones to go with that dude. Schrock once again did the Komets proud and the city proud. I'd take a team full of him and would love it as all you other bloggers would too I am sure.
There are guys that need to stop making excuses and start playing hockey and stop wasting this team's time.
Defensemen who constantly get beat down the ice and don't play defense, and can't move the puck up the ice.
Forwards who are floating not at 71%, but more like 15% at this point and forwards that don't get physical or stick their noses in to get a loose puck. Guys that won't make a check anymore, and guys that obviously don't care for whatever reason.
Blake, I am sure you have tried all ready, but will Curadeau answer any questions or will the Frankes comment on him???
What is this kid's deal this season? He seriously looks like he has no pride and no heart. He doesn't care? Is he pouting?
When your biggest signed players like PC, Curadeau, Narauto, Sometimes Leo Sometimes Not Leo, OC sometimes not all there, I won't even cry about Warner or Guy....Guy works hard all the time I think, he is just not 25 anymore. Warner is not a defenseman. No offense to him. He would be better served being a forward.
The whole team tonight stunk.
But back to my point......you have topliners who don't try most shifts and some of these guys aren't trying at all as it looks. If they were trying you would see some energy from them, maybe a meltdown, maybe a fist pump, maybe firing the other guys up vocally, maybe playing a couple of shifts with a chip on your shoulder and you take that frustration out by making some checks.
But I see nothing.
You can't expect Francis, Musselwhite, Schrock, DeAngleis, Cescon, Phillips to carry this team....these are out best players this season right now as it stands, and our top liners are not performing.
Tab Lardner is not being utilized at all. Period.
I don't know what it will take.
I still think that 3-5 guys need to go....now. And they need to be the 3-5 guys that aren't caring about this team right now. Send them packing. I don't care who you bring in. Bring back Fletcher, Marple, Potts, Junglemonkey.....doesn't matter......
A guy willing to play hard is much better than one who is tanking right now.

Hello, Komet's fans, long time Thunder fan here whose for hockey game he ever saw was at the War memorial with Skate back in 1974. Got to the game late tonight (had to play my men's league game first), showed up a few minutes into the 2nd, Thunder were already up 2-0. The K's looked slow and plodding all night, Dupuis was getting the corner turned on him every other shift and I didn't see much out of Drouin or Curadeau either, two guys I thought would be some of the better players on the ice.

Wonder when the attendance starts to get into the 4000-5000 range? or Worse?
The Frankes have to cut some problems loose on this team.
There has to be a cancer or 2 in the dressing room.
They shouldn't be this bad.
They didn't belong on the ice tonight with Wichita.
I am so angry--get going Komets!! Those of you who are slacking are putting the other players at risk--be the team you are meant to be!!!!

Sad to say but I'm starting to believe that the Franke's and Sims realize what they have to do, but the cure is so dramatic and all encompassing they may just write this year off.
This reminds me of the 73-74 season except, ( and I would never have believed it), this season is worse.
Kind of tired of reading and hearing players comment on what they need to do and yet they don't do it. Kind of tired of hearing and reading from the players and coach about working hard in practice, more practice time, less practice time, work harder on the power play, work harder on the penalty kill, change the lines up, then change the lines some more, different systems, attack, trap, and the results stay the same. The only thing that they can say they've got some consistency with is losing.
It's 2:13am and I'm tired, maybe a little grumpy too.

I agree its lights out for this team! Hit u need to understand that u are getting stressed out because of a group of hockey players that do not give a crap! So stay healthy my friend and write this season off. I no i am. The answer my friends is "Blowing in the wind the answer is blowing in the wind." Go Komets------------------- the ones that CARE!!!

Komets in trouble. Blackhawks in trouble. At least I still have the Bears. And thats even scary at times. 3-4 vets need to go now. I know it doesn't help having Patrosso and Danko on IR. Franke stated on radio this morning that changes are coming next week. Hopefully this time its the right ones. Season is getting shorter and Komets are going nowhere fast.
I still say Sims needs to go NUTS on some of the players durring a game on the bench to get them fired up!! Or Sims just does not have the system that works in the CHL. I sure am glad I did not waist $$ on season tickets this year.

Based on past experience I will bet the Frankes will make major changes if necessary. They've done it in the past, even at times when maybe it wasn't the best thing to do.
I think the questions would be, how deep do you cut? where do you find replacements? what time frame, do you drop one or two and hope the others fall in line or do you go wholesale and walk into the locker room with a fist full of waivers (as David did at least one time in the past that I'm aware of). Here's hoping they make the right choices.
As a long time STH I'm still glad I renewed mine. Sure, I love and support the Komets, but I'm also a hockey fan, and just because the Komets are doing poorly right now doesn't mean there isn't hockey to go see even it it means it's the other team that's putting on the skill show. And I'm not anywhere near bailing out on the Komets.

Ok so P.C who is a talented player for many years has 3 shots on goal in the last 4 games? He did no even get 1 on net last night. Now you figure a player of his caliber who is trying hard and going to the net once in a while cannot even muster ONE darn shot on goal!!?? What this tells me is it is time for him to hangem up and do well in a career in the Fort. Bie the bullet here and make the major moves NOW to show the fans that at least they know things are very wrong with this team and the coaching that they are not getting or not paying attention to just isnt and will NOT work. Komets fans will support a team that loses. But only loses while giving 100%. Now we are losing with a 50% effort and that does not cut it here in Kometland!!!
At least Da Bears are winning. Well at least until this Sunday.
