I don't believe that this was a case of the Komets playing down to a lower level opponent. I believe that it was a case of the Komets just not playing with any life, cares, or enthusiasm. I think that a fitting term for this type of performance is "zombie hockey".

Sims has lost the troops. Guys are doing things their way. Sloppy footwork, sloppy passing and just not wanting to dominate the opponent are more than obvious now. I wouldn't know how to light a fire under this team but somebody is going to have to do it. I love my Komet games but seeing how they played last night and as of late, it's getting really old and boring.

Last night was the worst night of hockey so far this season. I hope the Ks pull it together for next weekend's games at the coliseum. I would at least like to see some effort!
