Getting close to having to make some tough decisions.

The entire Bennefield saga is a disappointment.

I think we should pick up westbloom since Dayton cut him and get rid of beech

obviously bennefields injury is more than lace bite.. hope he heals quickly from surgery and can come back healthy and produce the points he is capable of.

Larry Stering signed with Dayton...can't wait until friday and we can all say "Laarrry"..

We need a back up goalie, Bouch cant play all the time and if something would happen we cant try to keep up with the other teams if Beech keeps going the way he is.I dont think westblom is the answer but i think a younger guy without the surgerys might be better. He has showen flashes of the making.Plus take our goals away from him his average looks better lol.

I asked Bob what he thought about Beech, and he said the defense has let him down, that Beech couldn't have done anything on five or six of his seven goals against. They were mostly back-door goals or ones where the defenseman or the forward lost track of their man for wide-open shots.

The fans need to get loud early friday night to get in his head and get the Ks going will be a great weekend

I realize y'all are going to have fun yelling at Larry with your mob mentality. Personally, I think the hockey should be played on the ice, not in the stands.

Not a fan of Larry having his feelings hurt? That's very sweet of you.

Jerseyguy
Tue, 11/15/2011 - 5:18pm

I agree Jerseygirl. The games should be played behind closed doors. Fans who attempt to help there team by cheering and heckling the other teams goalie are the worst. Must only happen in the fort.

Is that why you scream at Boucher the entire game Jerseygirl???

Blake Sebring

Just a warning. Let's all be careful please of personal attacks.

RunningKomet

Blake, did Bob give a reason as to why the defense keeps letting Beech down each time he plays, but dont seem to do it to Boucher when he is in the game? Beech must be pretty unlucky to always just happen to get into the games where the d has off nights.

RunningKomet

doesnt

Who's the warning for Blake?

Mission Accomplished.

Blake Sebring

No clue on that RK. I hope we get to see him play at home sometime this week.

Warning is just a general guideline for everyone, nothing specific yet JR. Just being careful.

These discussions about Larry have happened before and no one is going to change the other's mind so I don't want it to degenerate. Guess I'm being proactive.

JR1

OK... As long as hypocritical statements are monitored as well, there's nothing faster that creates "attacks" than one of those kinds of statements... Or blanket statements made that people can hide behind and claim there were not singling out anyone in particular...

Its just too bad that ALL the hockey talk has been removed from the blog... Its like a ghost town around here anymore.

Blake Sebring
Tue, 11/15/2011 - 8:01pm

And the great thing is, the overall hits have never been higher.

All I'm doing is asking people to keep it in mind.

If you'd like to say something about Larry, have at it. If you attack someone who is defending him, that's not gonna fly. There are plenty of places out there to call each other names if you choose.

JR1

So someone who yells nasty comments at a Komets player all game long can take issue with those who yell at their favorite player without being called out? Its not an attack, its a "Pot calling the Kettle black" comment....

I guess I just am trying to find out what you consider an "attack"...

Could you please post the Hits for the blog for the last year? I am always curious to see how many hits this site gets....

I seriously doubt my yelling at Boucher affects the game in any way. When I'm the only person yelling it's obvious it's not done out of a mob mentality or because I think people will like me or think I'm awesome or whatever. It's my honest opinion and if I felt like it was really going to affect the outcome of the game I'd think long and hard about what I was doing.

Charlie I
Tue, 11/15/2011 - 8:24pm

If it isn't going to affect the outcome of the game why spend the whole time yelling at Boucher then? That makes no sense. To me it is pretty hypocritical to tell other fans not to yell or say anything about or to Larry yet you spend the entire game yelling at Boucher. Also are you saying that everyone yelling at Larry is going to change the outcome of the game? Very confusing and I guess Fort Wayne Fans are a Mob with a mob mentality. Ok

I think that us yelling at larry does get in his head in my view. He is a great goalie and plays very well in his game except when he is in FW. Were fans having a good time and trying to get energy in our favor. It isn't about him as a person. Its hockey and fans have a big part in the energy of both teams while playing. No mobs... I went to the port huron game 6 in playoffs when we had to win the game to make it to the finals for our third turner cup. Larry knows that we all give him a hard time and yes it gets under his skin but he knows it ins't personal. Alot of K fans have talked to him.

Jererygirl
Tue, 11/15/2011 - 8:36pm

Oh Charlie, don't take it so personally! I'm referring to the comments about how it's fun to get into Larry's head or how they want Larry to play because they can get in his head and guarantee a win. They call him a headcase for it. Are you saying Bouche can even hear me or that the opinion of one fan affects his game in such a way? Wow....did you just say Bouche is a headcase too??? Lol.

Jererygirl
Tue, 11/15/2011 - 8:41pm

Larry does have feelings and he does take it a lot more personally than he lets on. If FW fans talked to him other than just a brief exchange or observed him over time and in his home arena against teams other than FW, they'd see that Larry's worst critic is Larry himself. The mob people feed into that and get him to doubt himself.

JR1
Tue, 11/15/2011 - 8:48pm

Yes, Boucher is a head case; but so are about 95% of the guys who play that position....

I go to the coliseum for a hockey game, not to join a support group; but to watch my team win... Its called home ice advantage for a reason... The crowd is why that is... There are 7000+ fans in the crowd cheering on their team and trying to get the other team off their game.

TheBauer
Tue, 11/15/2011 - 8:52pm

As long as we get 2 points when playing against him... Who cares what his feelings are. Last I checked he was a hockey player not a soap opera actor.

Neither of them are the distraction that Haun was.
