Darn, I would love an outdoor game. You can't argue with the fact the Komets are playing very well despite many injuries. I think even better then at this time last year.

I'd love an outdoor game too! Even if I had to bundle up so much I look like the Michelin Man to stay warm. Eh, we can always hope!

Just a thought from someone who knows nothing....what if they sold tickets ahead of time, say in June or so, for the game, and based the decision on whether or not to hold the game on the response on the number of tickets sold? And make the price really high, like $50 per ticket. It's what they do for the NHL Winter Classic, isn't it, or am I just seeing what the scalpers charge for the tix? And when I say $50 per ticket, I'm only talking Komets, not the NHL prices....that would be a standing room only price in the parking lot 10 blocks away!

Lets get real. There just isn't going to be a game played outside involving the Komets or the IHL. Just not going to happen. So dream on folks!

Too bad there isn't an outdoor skating rink in Fort Wayne. I guess headwaters park ice arena is the closest thing to that. It would interesting to see them play there, but I don't how they'd do seating. Or just pond hockey. Surely we have some bodies of water in the area that would work. Sure, the weather is hard to guarantee, but you could always postpone the game if needs be. Nine chances out of ten, the ice will be safe to skate on in late January. But once again, I don't how they'd do the seating other than to set up some temporary bleachers.

I'll ice down my side yard to make a rink.....then people can bring chairs, foo-foos, and just watch for free. No peeing in my neighbors bushes, though. That's just bad manners.

You all in?

BB-who you going to get to keep score? Not me. I am to old unless you heat the scorers table.

You could keep score in the front seat of Burpee's 1978 Chevy Chevette while he is passed out in the back-seat after drinking too many poo-poos......Wendy could interview SuperFan while he is laying in the snow waving his arms and legs making snow-SuperFans........And shutterbug could bring her camera and take pictures of JungleMonkey while he attempts to write his name behind the neighbors bushes in yellow cursive......I guess I am game. Burpee, you can invite the Hawthorne's over to make the game official.

Hit is that a "Cosworth" Chevette? They are worth big bucks. I saw one several years ago with less than 1,000 miles on it all original. It has been stored in a nice dry covered place.
