I found it interesting to learn that most of the ice surfaces in the league are smaller then ours, especially since a lot of them are newer I believe.

"Adherence to Al Sims' system has made them much tougher to play against."

``We're playing the way the coaches want us to play,'' said veteran defenseman Brent Henley who is plus-7 over his last five games. ``There's a reason they write it on the board.''

Hmm, wasn't it just a few weeks ago there were a few posts on here calling for the firing of Coach Sims? Most of the season to go yet and anything can still happen but it would be nice to see a few admissions to being premature with that.

Every building manager I have every asked -- except PH -- swears their rinks are regulation size. I think the MC is deeper into the corners.

Steve, still not sold on Sims in this league... Sorry; but our 4 game win streak was against QC 2x, Bloomington and Dayton... They keep this up and take 2 from Rapid City in their barn this weekend and that may start to change my tune.

Doesnt really matter though because from all the chatter out there sounds like we are going to be subjected to the slower, more methodical, non affiliated, non-unionized IHL2 next season, so what the heck... Sims was money in that league...

I'll agree with JR1. If some more consistent winning comes when the Komets start playing against the top tier teams, I'll say I was wrong. Not a problem. Unlike some other bloggers, I am open to changing my mind if the evidence is there.
