Overall an excellent effort for most parties...
Lardner is and excellent player, nose for the puck, interferes with Gems up ice rush...a pleasure to watch
Concentrated on LeGault as well.....again, there must be another player to trade for...however I hear there are family/work related ties keeping him here
Boucher looked slightly off his game and second goal I believe was questionable

A couple of observations and comments:
I thought Legault played one of his all time better games last night. He played a smart game, broke up a number of Dayton's scoring chances, and played his position well. He didn't get caught up in a "physical" style of play that could have led to unnecessary penalties. If the Komets could ever get their scoring woes behind them, then a player like Legault would fit in very nicely.
Tab Lardner played a great game last night. He is skilled, plays the penalty kill, and has been an asset to the Komets. He is a dangerous player for the opposition to cover. He will score and contribute greatly to the team. He has been a nice addition.
While it may be true that some could criticize Chris Francis for holding on to the puck at times, it is refreshing to see a young player hustling and trying as hard as he is.
Shrock and Leo have been the most consisitent at finding the back of the net and I think Curadeau will, too. I find Curadeau always going top shelf with his shots and I wonder why he doesn't try to go low. I think a change will provide more goals and at worst a rebound or even a face off.
I want to congratulate Burgee regarding his last two posts. How refreshing to read his thoughts on the game and not the "negative nellie" stuff. Keep it up Burgee. You have a lot to contribute.
I, too, am wondering what the hold up is on the young Russian kid. You would have thought by now that his immigration papers should be through the system. Can you give us an update, Blake?
I believe Chaulk will be back very soon but he did play a game in Europe two or three nights ago and had two assists. I don't know what to believe about these rumors of Snwball and MacMillan. I'm not real sure how they answer the problem of scoring more goals.
I want to close by wishing everyone on this blog a very Merry Christmas. I want to thank Blake Sebring for allowing us to vent, speculate, and exchange thoughts.
Thanks also to Tim Hoke, Randi Marcum, and Otto for their production of the "Game of the Week".
So, to EVERYONE, be safe and have a Merry Christmas!!!!

Sometimes when I read these responses, I think that I might have gone to see a different team. LeGault's average shift times were 20-30 seconds...he was pulled while the rest of the line were left in tact...he certainly takes up space and inadvertently broke up plays without knowing it...he plays his position "well" because he does not move much based on his overall slowness....he needs to be removed....he is there for some forward relief occasionally and may be around if the others score goals....
So much for a few comments and observations...wow!

While I don't think that Legault is the most gifted player in the world, I see no reason not to compliment him on a job well done. Neither do I understand why "Who" would have such venom for him.
I've always been one who respects differing opinions from mine and encourages other posters to offer their thoughts as long as they were done in a respectful and tactful manner.
I find that the last line in WHO'S post, "So much for a few comments and observations...wow!" to be pretty sarcastic.
WHO, you wouldn't happen to be, or be related to little Cindy Lou WHO would you?
I ask the question because you seem to have a lot of the Grinch in you.

Still, I meant what I said previously and hope you have a Merry Christmas anyway.

My last LeGault comment for this game-these are comments, not venom (you need to review your dictionary definitions), and nothing more. If the comments were not "done in a tactful and respectful manner" they would not have been printed on this blog (based on prior reviews).
Maybe what the blogger says about "respecting differing opinions from mine" means if not viewed as being appropriate in your eyes then they are deemed just not proper and therefore spiteful and malicious....unbelievable.

Oh my...this exchange between Alan and WHO is humorous. To make sure we were all on the same page, the dictionary definition of humorous is as follows: Having or characterized by humor; funny; laughable; comical.
I think it is safe to say that you disagree on a particular player and his ability in this game. I feel Legault played fairly well. He wasn't a liability on the ice and he did a decent job.
You two are humorous. Again, thank you for the laugh.

If this was meant to be humorous you would have seen some "amusing or comical" comments...non were made. Certainly if you believe Mr. LeGault is a non-liability, plays fairly well, played a smart game and would eventually fit in well with the K's, you-all need to set your sights on a lower level hockey league, where Mr. LeGault's 'talents' might be better appreciated....but not in this league. Your comments are amusing to me for there lack of insight on this player.

who - Go back and reread my post. I stated for a game my insight on how I believed he did, not the whole season. Also, it seems to me that unless a person agrees with you, then their "insight" is incorrect. I have a funny feeling if Legault scored 30 goals in a game, you would still find issues with his play.
It is obvious you do not like Legault or anyone who would dare to make a positive comment about him. I would suggest that anytime Legault takes the ice to simply close your eyes. I would hate for you to watch someone play for the Komets with less "talent".

Support of the K's LeGault by folks such as yourself and the other fan included in the you-all comment is nice and YOU are entitled to your opinion. He does not accrue time on the ice for many reasons. If he was a better all around player my opinion might change (insight aside). I have in the past found issues with players scoring more goals depending on the night or succession of nights they had...however none have had continuing bad night after night....there was a reason he was traded last season.
