Well, I'm not surprised the Komets are playing Chicago 11 times being that they have Puhalski. I woud have thought that the K's would play Rockford more though.

When was the last time the K's played a Friday game right after Thanksgiving. I can't remember the last time.

It also looks to me like the K's play at home at least once every weekend durintthe season execpt opening weekend.

Oops, I was wrong one weekend in December and another in January. I need to slow down and read this sucker.

Komets have never played a Friday home game after hosting a Thanksgiving game.

Great... Puhalski 11 times. Whats the deal with only one home/road double header? Seems to me that if you wanted to build rivals, you would do so by promoting more of these types of weekends? You would think with less teams and gripes about travel me would have seen more of this.

LOL. JM, it's the best schedule they've ever had and you pick out the one negative. What's up with that?

I'm good like that Blake. I think its an alright schedule. I'm not so sure what you find "great" about it.

JM does bring up a good point though. I guess the fact that there are only 10 teams they figure that will help build some rivalrys. Would rather see Rockford 11 times than either of the chicago teams... I do like the fact that I wont have to listen to the first 15 games of the regular season before seeing the team live...lol

Comparing it to this past season's schedule, this is nearly perfect. There's only one rough patch of road games and a ton less travel. There aren't any times when they have to go from Muskegon to Missouri for an afternoon game, or anything like that. There are also a few times when they play Rockford-Bloomington, or Chicago-Rockford on back-to-back road games and that really cuts down on the travel. I also like the Elmira-Port Huron trip -- except the trip the next night to Quad City. There's an awful lot more syncronicity to this year's schedule than there has been since they joined the UHL.

They also used an unbalanced schedule among the divisions. The Komets like that in that they only have to go to Elmira twice, but the flip side is they only play Muskegon seven times.

I hate the fact that we gotta wait until the 2nd weekend to see the team live....

Mark, at least we dont have to wait til the second weekend of November to see them live....

I really like this years schedule. I will only have to miss out on the Nov. 11 game since we have a wedding to attend in Chicago for a friend's daughter....at least our hotel room is being taken care of!

Very nice schedule. I agree with JungleMonkey about home and home series. There should be more as seeing the same team back to back nights builds up a little hatred bewteen the 2 teams.

Where is Indy on the schedule....darn it!!!

I think Enema Man should be at the games at home against Chicago when we beat the shat out of them......can't wait to play his team. Are their colors Pink on Hot Pink?

Looks like road trip to Rockford and Bloomington for opening weekend. My wife has relatives in Bloomington so we're thinking about making the trip.

Did anyone notice we are involved in 4 home openers? is that by chance or is it that everyone wants us for the home opener? there are only 4 nights that home openers happen this year and we are playing all 4 nights in someones home opener.

our first 4 out of 6 games are home openers, 3 of those games i give the edge to our opponent(they have what should be one of their biggest crowds behind them), and one of the other non home opener first 6 games is against Rockford(i give this edge to Rockford because they have a little more stability than us. So to summize, we could very well start out 1-5. We are going to have to come out on fire this year or we'll be digging ourself out of a hole. there may not be any patsy's in the league this year.

Is there a significance/hidden message in UHL 2006/2007 Game #1 Fort Wayne Vs Rockford, does the league recognize this up and coming rivalry?
