Jay Holladay had all of two fights as a pro before the last three games when he's had four. He told me he's not been able to contribute as much offensively because of an injury that's been bothering him so he's trying to contribute in other ways. You've got to give him credit for that.
Konstantin Shafranov and Dominic Osman will both make the road trip this weekend, but it's unsure at this time if they will play. Shaf had a charley horse.

Adam Lewis and Brad MacMillan shoot and score! Bertie's already got his marker for the year, so that leaves Danko Mironovic and Jake Pence as the only Ks without goals so far.
I said last year I felt P.C. was the team MVP when he had 23 goals and 74 points. He's already got 19 goals and 42 points this year and we're not even halfway.

I totally agree too. All I ask for is people to stay in their seat during the play, especially a powerplay. The wave lost it's coolness back in the eighties. Knock it off already. I came to watch a hockey game. By the way, the pregame routine was about as lame as I've ever seen.
I hate the wave. It was a group from a Church (I Think?)that started it in the corner section below the Guy Dupuis Fan Zone.
Fun game though all in all. It is fun to see a packed house.
The wave went out of style when Gunsmoke and Perry Mason reruns went off the air!!

I will let the wave slide just this one game. The guy starting it had an old school Blackhawks hoody on. That gets a pass from me!!! What doesn't is the people that followed his lead! He seemed well into his New Year's Celebration @ that point!
Enjoyable game towards the end, but the Komets still had problems handling the puck against a very poor Flint team. Albion was leaving pucks off rebounds like that is what he was taught all night. Flint really lacks a solid sized defensemen. Kudos to Styffe with the kiss cam. Quite funny. If you wanted entertainment, last nights game gave you that. If you wanted to see the Komets improve, I'm not sure we got that.
I know some of you will appreciate this, Left this morning on a train headed for the Windy city....I was layered in my clothes, Red Wings attire in hand and I brought my Komets back pack filled with extra blankets for the cold afternoon at hand. Being in Wrigley Field for a cubs game is awesome but being there for a Red Wings/Blackhawks game was priceless.. I did get many many comments on my Komets backpack and everyone had great things to say even the Rockford Icehogs (even wearing the icehogs jersey) group we ran into for dinner after the game. Its nice to see that where ever we go most people have great things to say about The Komets Organization and have good memories of it. Makes me proud to be a fan and season ticket holder. Go Komets..Lets kick some hockey butt in 2009...

It's actually Eddie Long with 793, Pembroke 784, Thornson 763 and Guy 729 coming into this season. The Komets are only counting the regular-season games toward the record so Guy needs 35 more games heading into tonight to tie Eddie.
