Four games in five nights. Tough schedule.

``Our guys called them on,'' Sims said. ``Henley wanted on the ice as soon as he saw Sgroi, and Kaleigh went after Makway. We instigated both fights and got it over and done with and then played the game.''

Proof that Sims finds no room for toughness in hockey. The sooner he can be done with it the better.

I couldn't disagree more. Shows that he and Komet players are physical when needed to send a message that they aren't going to take any crap. But with the officiating the way it works in this league the players have to be disciplined with use of physicality.

I can understand the Komets being a tired team. They've really done well winning these first three games and no one can argue that four games in five nights has to be grueling. Still, to be fair, let's take a look at Bloomington's schedule:

Tuesday, the 27th, a loss at Fort Wayne.
Thursday, the 29th, a win at Dayton.
Friday, the 30th, a loss at home to Missouri.

and finally, Saturday the 31st, a game tonight in Fort Wayne.

Four games in five nights for the Blaze also. Three of those are road games instead of the Komets three home games. Lots more bus travel for the Blaze.
I'm not trying to say the K's shouldn't be tired; I'm just saying the K's have had the easier schedule if you compare the two.

Bloomington has become a good team. There are no soft teams in the Turner Conference and Bloomington certainly can win this game tonight. If they do, fatigue better not be used as an excuse. In my mind the more fatigued team may be Bloomington, not the K's.

In other words, expect two tired, slow moving teams who don't feel like hitting. Take the typical boring Bloomington game and slow it down with less fights and more holding penalties. CAN'T WAIT!

Yes Bloomy is as boring to watch as Dayton but then again so was the Missouri game. Boomy vs Missouri only had 2 penalties called last night. While the New Years eve game is tradition the game itself over the last few years has been non eventful with a full house and usually features as less than stellar opponent. Expect a fast game with little to no stoppage doubt it starts like the game last nite did

Yep, for some reason Thanksgiving's game is always one of the longest of the season, and NYE is always one of the shortest.

Al and everyone else who can't stand contact and don't think fights are part of the game will love tonight's game then. Hopefully I'm wrong and it's a fun game.
