If your projection is correct then I will be VERY VERY happy ...ungrumpy because it will mean that the Komets will most likely have a very good season.
I really do hope he does well wherever he plays...unless it is agains the Komets. haha

I just don't care for the way Hodgman plays. He talks, ducks, and tucks tail. It's one thing to try to draw a penalty but when it becomes the biggest aspect of your game it get annoying.
All the talent in the world doesn't make me a fan if you don't put your nose to the grindstone and work. Stop talking, start scoring. Don't whine every shift for a call. Ratchuk was the same way to me. Talented guy that should have played hard and been quiet.
I dont discredit Hodgy's talent. I'm just not a fan. Chris Grenville is one of my favorite Komets. People find that odd because of his short time here, but he worked hard every shift, scored, and took pride in his work. No diving, no whining, no coasting. Chaulk and LKS play the same way.

Hodgman is 23.
When he was here 2 years ago he was 21.
3 years ago he was 20 when he was here.
4 years ago when he scored the magical game winner, Kup winner in triple overtime.....he was 19.
I am not going to judge a kid that age until he comes in this year for a full season and we can see how he plays and acts for a full season as a 23 year old.
Guys....23. He is young and still maturing both physically and mentally as a hockey player and person.
I will cut him some slack.
He has alot of talent and alot of game.
He would be awesome on this team. He would be awesome in this league. And we would be very fortunate if he played here again.
I too loved Grenville when he was here. And you know I love Chaulk....heck I boated him accross the Atlantic last year.

If he was 32, I would still love Hodgmans hockey play but would question some of the things JM is, if it was a problem.
PS: I did not care one bit for Chad Grills when he was here because of his antics and mouth....Didnt really like Galbraith when he was here for similar reasons.

Wow, a triple from Hit....is this a baseball blog now? LOL....
What I got from your "let him retire as a legend" post, Snuff, was that if you can't be a hero, then you should not bother play the game as a Komet anymore. I know it's just what you prefer as a fan and all, but dang. Tough work, IMO....no wonder you are so hard to please. It's perfection for you, or nothing at all. :(

That's ok....I can live with us disagreeing on this one. ;)
We agree other times. At least we are both Komet fans!
Do we agree that this off-season is seeming to be veeeerrryyy long??? I am jonesing for hockey.

BLB.. I am honestly not sure we disagree as much as I am not able to explain my thinking as well as I would like to.
But YES!!! This off season is WAAAAY to long. We were spoiled the last few years having long playoff runs. It made the summer seem to be much shorter and hockey seasons closer together

The more years I am a hockey fan, the more I hate summer. I never was a huge fan of it before, now when May rolls around, I truly go into a depression. I'm really getting bored right now. My son plays year round, and I love that....but I'm also ready for the Komets, the San Jose Sharks, the Nashville Predators, and a handful of AHL teams, mainly the Lake Erie Monsters. Just drop the puck already....

GO JETS!!!
Growing up they were my second favorite team and that was before I had visited the city. Now that I have been there multiple times I feel an even greater connection.
The memories of Pokey And the Bandit will live forever.
Heck the Komets had a pipeline of former Jets goalies.

And Bob, I might be there on the 11th....Jason and his buddy and I were counting the Mustangs on the road today, so it seems like it's time to head to a show!
Winnipeg? How'd that come about? I always like hearing how people choose their teams.

BLB,
This year we'll have the "Hooves in Motion" award, just for the Mustangs. The award is in honor of someone that helped establish the club, and he has a totally awesome red fastback that mere words cannot properly describe.
BTW, Kathleen has decided her next car will be a Mustang convertible! Time to get a better job with that business degree...lol
