You can read it here.
Just imagine the offense on D...Frankie, Milam and Mangos.
That would be our 2nd line Center I would assume and a couple of strong Dmen who can generate offense and protect their end.
Wonder who the 3 wingers are that they plan on adding to this mix that can bury the puck in the net?
Thank you, Blake, for the player update.
For a guy who has been screaming for announcements of scorers and Komet signings, I guess today I'm more concerned about having an update on Tim Hoke.
I knew about Milam :)
Here is a Brett Smith jersey :)
I will take two or three! I can't wait for the season! PLEASE don't let me down!
Rutherford and Nick Layton would be two young Bugs I'd pinpoint.
Rutherford signed in ECHL.
Not so much in favor of the over 30 crowd (beating the dead mudbug)
That being said, both of the over 30's are proven talent and if they are signed we have to hope they are motivated to win another championship in a new city.
Milam I liked when he was here. I wish they could have brought him back sooner but at least they didn't wait till he was over the hill.
DeLory & Love ???
Alex Penner in a K's jersey ???????? :)
I would say no to Delory and maybe to Penner. If the K's have plenty of proven at the AA level scorers on the roster this year, I would have no problems with a one dimensional player like Penner to protect that lineup... I said the same thing when the K's signed Legault last off season. I have a feeling that the K's are going after small, scrappy, never say die type players this year. I would like to see the K's find a guy like TJ Reynolds for the blueline though. The guy can play, score some points, is big and can go nutty every once in awhile to send that "message" to the other team, ala Henley...
Have I missed something here? From the above posts it seems that the K's have locked up Smith, Milam, and Mangos. I don't like to count on anything until it's "official". So....are they signed but not yet announced? Or....are we getting the cart before the horse?
Cart before the horse...
I think since the names of players being pursued were actually put in the article that many feel its a done deal at this point. The K's are normally very tightlipped when it comes to players they are interested in if negotiations are still "up" in the air (not including former K's)...
They didn't have a choice. I had all the details before I ever talked to the Komets. They are not signed yet, but are heavily considering signing with the Komets.
