I want to know how JungleMonkey got the exact number right from the attendance guess yesterday?

The best part last night was when we heard Larry Schmidt set the tone for the evening by announcing Sunday's game against the Port Huron CHICKEN Hawks! My friend and I looked at each other and said "Did we hear that right?", then he said it again and we both started laughing. Priceless!!

Honestly Janice, it was a semi-lucky guess...

My educated guess was around 5400... My favorite # is 12.. So I slapped them together and look like a genius.. I should have entered some million dollar "guess the attendance" give a way... Mrs. Monkey (she loves being called that) and I make guesses every game and have gotten rather good at it...

To Mike in Toronto. Just wanted to give you a quick shout-out.

I'm sure you're keeping up with the K's through the internet but we haven't heard from you for awhile.

The Komets may have played their most complete game of the year last night. Aside from the first four minutes (when both teams looked a little sloppy) the game settled down into an up and down, playoff style "chippy" game. The K's played both ends of the rink all night, hit, stood up for each other, and outskated Port Huron. The first five minutes of the second period was just total domination by the K's. The scrum that resulted in six (6) ten minute misconduct penalties ( I have never seen that before, by the way) was the only thing that stopped their momentum.

Even when Port Huron scored, the K's came right back. The only thing that is missing is the power play as they were 0-6 last night. It sure would be easier with a few power play goals! All in all, however, it was a very, very nice game.

Now on to Port Huron with the smaller ice. They need to continue to make crisp outlet passes, keep a hard forecheck and make Port Huron cough the puck up. If Port Huron would fall behind two games to none, they will be forced to give up their antagonistic style and get back to serious hockey.

If the Komets can duplicate their effort again Saturday night, the final result will be the same.
