The Komets announced Friday that veteran winger Tab Lardner has been acquired from the Missouri Mavericks of the Central Hockey League (CHL) in exchange for considerations.
Lardner, 30, is in his seventh season of play in the CHL and his 10th pro season. He has appeared in 15 games during 2010-11 with Missouri and leads the Mavericks with seven assists and ranks fourth on the team with 10 points. Lardner spent the last three seasons with Port Huron in the IHL and scored 95 goals and 186 points in 199 games.
The Edmonton, Alberta native is expected to arrive in Fort Wayne Monday and begin practicing with the Komets on Tuesday of next week.

If we can trade for Larrrry somehow, then change Icy from an eagle to an ice hawk, the transformation will be complete. Heck, there's already tons of people walking around the jungle in black and red jerseys...
Lardner was always pretty good though, so hopefully this helps.
If you read on the other blog it says lardner is a high paid guy and a vet so to make room a high profile guy will be moved next week......we will see who goes i have christmas list of who i want to see go......

I like Tab Lardner. Nice pick-up....and he is definitely familiar with Patrosso and Narauto.....I think it is a great move because it is a major upgrade in talent.....and he might also get 2 of your bigger offseason signings going as well.
Even though we looked better last night, we still needed something.
Let's hope this is the something that gets them going.

My #1 guess is Reiter is traded. Could be wrong.....but I think he has the most value, and might be at the same $$$ amount or close.

well i certainly hope not......i would trade leo or pc in a heartbeat....wont mention dupuis because it wont happen or warner....but problem with pc or leo is that they probably would refuse trade and retire.....ugh.........guess we just wait and see...
