At least someone is. Don't get me wrong, I really hope things do turn around, I just am going to need to see it to believe it. I also hope the Komets don't just have one game where they score 6 goals, we get a ton of "I told you so's", then it's back to what we've seen up to this point and a lot of head-scratching is going on.

There is definitely talent and ability on this team, I just haven't seen any evidence that the talent knows/can work together at this level, and I think that is what Leo was alluding to. Time will tell I guess. Hopefully things turn around soon and all is well.

The chemistry puzzle is a little tougher to figure out this year. I think the Komets got lucky the last couple of years on that front. But, they'll get it figured out, Leo is confident and that tells me that we should be as well, because if the players feel that way, then I don't see why they can't get it going. After all, they do have some pretty good scorers on this team. They know how to find the back of the net, and they've proven it before. It's hard to start a freight train, even harder to stop it.

If we come out blazing and get a goal before they do I hope Larry dusts off "mony mony" so we can jump on Arizona's baby..err goalie

RunningKomet, What level are you talking about??AA hockey? This league is no better then the other AA league we have been in.

Frankly I don't care if we win 1-0 or 10-0. We need points more than anything. The Komets aren't that far away from being in the middle of the pack in points and then can start moving up from there. 5 of the next 6 games are at home. In those 6 games I see a need for 8 or 9 points to get back into this thing or things are going to have to change. After that they can't dink around and keep putting off making major changes. I will be there tonight and hope to see a good game and great effort by the K's. They simply cannot come out flat anymore and try and play catch up the rest of the game. Or the rest of the year for that matter.

8-3 sounds good to me. But they better act apologetic after scoring or the Sundogs will cry and moan.

I would love to hear nah nah nah nah you (fill in the four letter word) many, many times tonight, and I have confidence that the Komets have confidence they will win because they have beat this team before.

With that said, what exactly is Leo supposed to say? "Wow, we go out every game and don't work together, and it doesn't look like we are going to anytime soon."

I hope for the best, but I will also believe it when I see it. It is much more fun to go to a game where the team wins a couple of times every now and then too. (Yes, I know we have been spoiled, and I am ok with not winning a championship every year!)

Really Dan? REALLY?! The UHL and IHL were just as good as what we're seeing now? What games were you watching?

Hmmmm... Tonight may be a little more difficult than I was expecting. Looks like Arizona has picked up some players from Rapid City recently. And there last three games vs. Quad City, Dayton, and Bloomington all went beyond regulation to decide. They won the last one against Bloomy. I still think the Komets are going to do take care of business tonight, though. A break-out, like Leo predicted, is long overdue.

"their"... I do know how to spell. Tell it to my fingers. :P

Musslewhite is listed on the roster on the Komets website. Does this mean his papers were approved and will play tonight?
TIA

If there is no difference in the level of talent in this league over the IHL, our players really got terrible in a hurry over the summer. Youre telling me the Komets would only have one win in the IHL by this point, dan?

RunningKomet
Fri, 11/19/2010 - 8:20pm

2 wins, sorry.

Gamemisconduct. You are right. These games we are watching aren't as good as the old Uhl or Ihl. They are worse. If you watched tonights game and think I am nuts then you have the hockey knowledgae of a dead stump.

We're not only discussing the Komets play, the league as a whole.

The Komets are horrible right now, we all know that. However, the competition is that much better and playing much better, fundamental hockey.

"fundamental hockey" is a mouthful at this point. i am terribly disappointed. :(

Leo played like a guy trying to save his job.

There were some others.....well, they know they won't lose their job, so why play hard, right?

dan
Sat, 11/20/2010 - 8:21am

So that is why we are getting beat by 5 and 6 goals because of the superior league/ Got it. AZ is horrible too.

Sat, 11/20/2010 - 8:30am

Again...The Komets and their record have nothing to do with the skill level of the CHL.

dan
Sat, 11/20/2010 - 11:00am

No difference in level. PERIOD. We are just that bad.

Sat, 11/20/2010 - 11:25am

Go watch a tape from any game in the IHL and then watch a tape from this year. The game is faster, the passing is 10x better, systems working earlier, a lot less sloppy, etc etc...It's an obvious difference. The 2 things that the IHL had going for them over the CHL are the fact they they had no instigator rule and they didn't have no touch icing.

Don't kid yourself, the IHL was crap hockey

dan
Sat, 11/20/2010 - 11:29am

AA is AA. Quiut trying to convince yourself that this is a higher level hockey.

GameMisconduct
Sat, 11/20/2010 - 11:40am

You're right, AA is AA...With that said, go watch a tape from last year and compare it to this year, it will speak volumes.

Actually, no it won't. You already have your mind mind up and you're never wrong, are ya?

dan
Sat, 11/20/2010 - 1:05pm

Not in this case, I'm not. We were the 3rd best team last year in that low AA league. Couldn't beat Muskegon, Port Huron beats us with Larry. Heck, Flint beat our butts all year. We lost Chaulk, Shaf, Syro and Huk. All good players and we still were somewhat concerned about making the playoffs in February. We lost most of our talent. We would not be competitive in our old league this year. Quit trying to make excuses for this team getting beat because this league is at such a high level. It simply is not.
