Another one of Blake's aka "Super Fan" human interest stories. I enjoyed it very much. I think it helps the Komet Nation get to know the players in other ways than on the ice. I really like the up close and personal touch. Thanks

I can see another trivia question out of this. How many Komet players, both former and current, have appeared in movies?

Leo Thomas, Travis Whitehead, and Bruce Boudreau are three that I can think of.

I'm not sure Mike Butters would count. As far as I know all of his work (quite a bit) has been since he left the Komets and I think since he quit playing except for maybe roller hockey.

Any others?

Con Madigan and Jeff Carlson were also in Slap Shot

Casey Burnette, Rob Murray, Chris Rowland, Todd Harkins and Ian Lampshire were also in Miracle.

Mike Butters has been in a bunch of stuff.

"The Love Guru" was a classic example of the dangers of getting your own way. But despite it all, I still like Mike Myers. And I'm sure "Guru" was a lot more fun to make than to watch. Good for Leo. :)

How could he have "gotten" me if it's absolutely true? LOL

Back to something serious. Dead serious question: Does Burgee ever like, you know, work? All we ever hear about is him jetting here, drinking with referees there, or harassing hockey players over here. What kind of an example does this man set for the children of our society? Is Bridget independently wealthy or something? How DOES he afford all those pills?

Yes, I've had way too much caffeine today. Off to the game!

So I should marry a sugar mama? I don't think that's legal in this state, but I guess I could move... ;)
