What are you most interested in heading into camp?
Seeing who shines, what players may just drop in, but most importantly, who will get cut and who makes the final roster.

Optimistic, pessimistic, ambivalent?
Optimistic but with a little concern because we may not have a legit heavyweight fighter going into the season.

Player you are most interested in seeing how he does?
Morency and Goneau. Hands down.

Most interested to see what comes out of camp that was not expected. Curious about our backup goalie.

Cautiously optimistic for the upcoming season. In all honesty I think its going to be at least a month before we can really tell what we have so I am not going to ride to high or low no matter how we start off.

The players I am most interested in seeing is our entire top 2 lines. I think we are "expecting" for players who formally put up numbers in other leagues and under Bingham to produce the same way. On paper it looks impressive. We'll see.

I'm very optomistic about this season, this could be one of the best teams I've seen the Komets assemble in a very long time...

I'm less concerned about having a legit heavyweight..the Komets have put together a team who will be tough, Mario Laraque(sp) is a big time hitter..along with Morency..I'm not to worried about that.

I'm excited to see the 2 top lines..boy, the training camp is extremely deep this season..

Go Komets

Most interested in wathcing Hockey finally rather than having pissing matches on Blakes blog all the dog-on time. Want to be entertained and excited first and foremost with success.

Key stories for me would be:

1) Can Frenchy stay healthy this season and stay focused. If not, who is in camp that can properly back him up?

2) Will this truly be the tough physical team and style of play that has been advertised all season long?

3) Can these guys who have been hyped-up this summer put the puck in the back of the net.

4) We start the season with 10 UHL teams, how many will we end the season with?

5) Can this team play with focus, hustle, and intensity on that third game of the weekend (Sundays) unlike last year when they were pitiful to watch as you could tell the effort was there maybe 10% of the time.

6) Will this team bring back the excitement that everyone on this blog and in this town has been begging for over the past 2 years?

Go ahead....take your best shot at me now!!!

"What are you most interested in heading into camp?"

The rookie battles. I already know what the veterans are capable of.

"What are the key stories as you see them?"

(1) Our backup goalie, who they are obviously high on since he has no competition in camp.

(2) Who we get from Hershey to solidify the defense and the entire team. I really thought Ruid pulls the offense together. Now who is going to do the same for the defense?

(3) How K.J. Voorhees adapts to the higher level of play. If he can generate anywhere close to the offense that he did in the SPHL, our top two lines will be even more dominate.

(4) Even though it seems to be a non-issue, I am currious to see how the veteran situation works out. I like carrying 8 veterans though.

"Optimistic, pessimistic, ambivalent?"

I couldn't be any more optimistic than I am right now. We finally have a "players" coach. I also think he got top-tier recruits in here. Franke really nailed the pick in Bingham.

Plus it's always nice when you see Mallard fans accusing you of cheating (on ITB). Hey, now we know we have the makings of a good team.

what ever hit said, i agree with. most important is how the rookies look and will we come up with another goodwin and who will emerge as the enforcer or will it be by commitee like the ice patrol of old? drop the puck and ice down the kegs! im ready!

Just interested to see how long it takes the lines to gel and how many guys on the opening roster will still be there after game 20.

I'm very optimistic and excited.

New coach, new players, new system, Komet Hockey 2006/2007 version 1.0.

How long will version 1.0 make it until it needs upgraded. My guess a few minor tweaks here and there, may go to 1.3 or 1.4 but not to version 2.0 like last year.

Wednesday can't get here fast enough nor the 27th when the little piggies and whiny baby show up for the first time, and then we get to whip on the little piggies at home twice in december and then comes march when the little piggies come into town twice for a beating!
