SCratching Guy the other night makes no sense now they broke a streak of his only to put him back in the line up tonight? To me that is wrong for a guy who has given his all. Like to hear an explaination for this one

How do you know Guy didn't say he wanted to sit a day? He wouldn't have broken the record unless we went deep in the playoffs. I see nothing wrong with it. If Guy was a selfish player, he could have demanded he played to keep the streak...but he's not!

Well to all those who watched last nights game you got to see mirastys last game as a komet........Dont be so sure this isnt sims last season as a coach in the fort......Hope nobody gets hurt against a much faster more physical team then we have

I've got the feeling that it was Jon's last game too. Too bad it just didn't work out for him here. I wish he could've played a bigger role on the team. But with the system in place and the officials clipping his wings at every chance Nasty never got to play his game. Looks like with all the pre-game videos and t-shirts it was just another ploy to get some butts in the seats and some more souvenir sales. But any way I'm glad he was here and wish him all the best in the future.

Bobby Phillips took some hard shots tonight.
Penner and Sullivan played much tougher without Mirasty around.
Too bad Schrock never got his hands on that poo-butt Riley Nelson.

Colorado is no better then us. 3 games played and we each won 3 points. I am really sick of hearing how great, how fast, how tough, etc. Colorado is. If any of you are honest, we beat them twice if Bouche starts in goal Friday night. They have nobody faster then Schrock, Apod, Leo, and probably a few others. We may lose in the first round, anything can happen. But I am sick of all the garbage how everybody is sooooooooooooooooooooo much better then us. If you were at the games the last 2 nights, you can't honestly believe that the "greatest team in the CHL history"is that much better then us. Good grief and good night.

Friday and Saturday were two of the best games the Komets have played all season.
Anybody else hear someone from the Colorado bench yell 'Shut the f--- up' at one of the Komets in the first period? What was that about? I was in upper part of 604 and could easily hear that.

That was so refreshing to read Dan...nice way to end the night.:) I thought the same thing which is why I asked if someones fear that we may get hurt by this faster team since we have such a "soft coach"...did it turn out to be a realistic fear during the game tonight. Seems like it had some hits and chippyness as someone put it lol...but nothing we couldn't handle and actually even pulled out a win. Not much stopping us now....:)

Jungle you are right about Penner playing totally different tonight with no Mirasty. He was giving all kinds of Komets cheap shots. He took a couple good shots on Phillips and he really took a cheap shot on Guy in front of their bench. He didnt play like that last night with Mirasty in the lineup. I dont think we got run because we played Guy tonight. I give the man a lot of credit. He is 40 years old and gave us around 40 points on the year as a defender. He gives you all he can every night. Think he really helped Craig develop. I will not argue that he is not the fastest player on the ice, but he is very smart and that makes up for him not being the fastest. He is still a great penalty killer and not bad on the powerplay. I think he should be on the playoff roster period!! I like Rat being used as the extra skater and playing both forward and defense. If Warner gets put back in the lineup and they sit any other defender they are crazy!! I like the roster they had out there tonight! Would like to see Mirasty get to play, but dont think it is worth the roster spot. Nobody wanted to fight him in the regular season. I wish he would have got to play his game here, but it didnt work out. Sims system isnt one that works for a player like Mirasty. The Komets showed they can beat anybody in the league! So I hope we do go on a deep run. It is possible.

Funny how so many claim Mirasty is a waste but all you have to do is look at how Penner played tonight vs. last night to see his value but I think it will take someone getting seriously injured by a cheap shot for some to admit that Mirasty is worth his spot. Penner even KICKED Phillips (I think it was Bobby anyways) while he was on the ice...That was unreal

I agree I don't see Jon making the playoff roster and I understand why, I just get annoyed with the anti-Mirasty crowd who don't take everything into consideration before saying he is a waste.

Mac was a lifer in the chl/uhl... Mirasty-at least 10 games in the NHL.. not even a comparison... It is Sims who controls players, and how they play. Mirasty made more money this season than Mac made his entire pro career.

Game Misconduct, I also seen penner kick at Phillips,wanted to fight Krug.He sure was a different player without Mirasty in the line up.He is a POOR excuse for an enforcer. The"chicken" also was laying on Boucher in the 3rd period.I was told by a lady fan that Mirasty is gone already????? I asked penner why he would not fight Mirasty & he would not answer that question,also showed him my CBJ Mirasty jersey & he thought it was nice. I agreed :)

mightbite, he was on the ice for the awards. He got on of the biggest cheers when he came out.
