I woul be very happy if anyone that can get those old Jack Loos clips. Since he's no longer around and no one to ask, most people don't remember most of the music he played.

Another factor with long intros is that the players often hate them. They really hate having to stand for any length of time on their skates.

I always liked the "Beautiful People" cause it has the best beat that just builds on top of its self. You just couldn't play it with the words...

Not a long intro is needed....just something to get the crowd going instead of just announcing the lines. I have always liked what the Pacers do to introduce the other team....The Who "Who Are You" is an awesome backdrop to introducing the other team's lineup.

How 'bout fitting "Instant Karma" in there somewhere?

Alot of the new music for this season will be recognizable from movies or commercials. Plus we have a better way to get sound clips from movies now. Plus I went back and looked at some of the stuff we played back when I started 9 years ago and see if it ages well.

When I took over the job, we had 3 tape decks and around 100+ songs assorted all around me, now I have instant access to around 2000 clips. It's alot nicer than having to rewind a cassette every time we scored a goal.

Do you have a rotation where if you play a song one game you leave it out for a while? Or do you make sure to play some songs every night?
Hoss

The best song for when they win would be the song from the commercial that has the guy driving the hurse to the gravesite and is waving to the people on the way, when he gets there everyuone gets out and dances.
Any one know what the heck I'm talking about?

Blake,
There are some songs that you almost have to play every night like "Cotton Eyed Joe" and I try to keep most on a rotation every few games. Especially when it comes to 2 weekend games. I get sick of the songs sometimes too so that when it gets changed up.

I know people get sick of hearing some songs, but alot of it is based around music for kids. Even if they don't understand the games, they can still have a good time. It's like doing a wedding reception. You have every age group and you can't please everyone no matter what you play. But I try to find something for everyone each night.
