As opposed to a dead one or possibly only mildly interesting or incredibly dull.
With it being spring break, I'm betting there's going to be a bunch of kids at the game tonight. Welcome back to Riley Albahrani to the press box after she was out sick last week.
Your referee is Craig "Captain Hook" Welker
Comments
Welker stinks, I hope his whistle freezes to his lips. BOOOOOOOOOOOO!
This is Robin Bouchard's 1,000th pro game tonight, including two with the Komets in 1996-97.
BTW, I went with Merloni for the Rookie of the Year, too; Boucher as MVP and goaltender of the year. First team was Dupuis, Robinson, McArthur, Booras and Drouin. Rookie team was (I'm trying to remember) Merloni, Cleaver, Bartholomays, O'Connor and Varone. I really debated on between O'Connor, Varone and Lange of Kzoo. Lange being minus-2 was a deciding factor.
No Mac tonight?
I don't see him out for warmups, but I might have missed him. We don't have the official lineup yet.
If you ever wondered why the players hustle off at the end of warm-ups, they get fined if they are not off the ice by the time the horn goes. That's part of what the linesmen are doing out there. No, I don't know what the fine is, but they really hustle!
I'm trying to figure out a way you can see if I've posted or now so I'm experimenting a bit.
That worked.
Scratches are Shaun Fisher, Kyle Kos and Chad Woollard for Muskegon; Brian Boulay, Brad MacMillan and Olivier Legault for the Komets.
Hello? Hello? Is this thing on?
Bueller? Bueller?
Hunter, are you paying attention yet? How are your brothers doing?
we are here, Thanks
We had a good day, the boys are a little grouchy. We have not seen the Doctor yet today. Praying they get to try to sit up tomorrow.
After the third day we all just want to come home. This is so cool.
so did you find out what was up with Legault?
As an April Fool's Joke, the Komets had a pee wee team come out for the introductions. That was funny!
Good news, during the first period intermission, we're going to take questions for Olivier Legault and Brad MacMillan on the blog. So think up your questions and start typing them in with about two minutes left in the period.
You can ask him later.
I think those were the Dupuis and Shafranov grandchildren on the ice.
Hodgman starts with Chaulk and Drouin; Aldoff and Rodger
Curadeau hooking 1:41; Captain Hook strikes again.
Kevin Armstrong goes in goal right away for Muskegon. Pool is still on the bench. Uh, Oh, the ghost of Gregg Pilling is coming!
Pool goes back in after Billy Collins scores the power-play goal with assists from McArthur and Costello. It was a rebound in front.
Pool stays in the deep end as Drouin gets called for boarding Grabarek, but McArthur hooks Hukalo on a rebound attempt. Man, Curadeau just planted somebody in the boards.
Ks have a very short pp, 18 seconds.
Where's Brendan Savage when I need him? It's hard to watch the game, type and take notes at the same time. Who's stupid idea was this? LOL.
Later shoves Hodgman into and over Pool, and gets called for slashing to give the Komets a pp.
Bet Al wishes he dressed Mac now after Hodgman runs Pool
LOL you are funny Blake.
With both the fighter out what will they do?
Glad somebody thinks so. Usually it's just my dates who laugh at me.
Pence holds Stauffacher for a Lumberjacks pp, 11:41.
Enough penalties already, we didn't pay to watch welker.
Guy just hit the post on a SH chance.
Rick Varone just picked up a Kevin Bertram rebound to make it 1-1 with 5:24 left in the first.
Remember last year when Hodgman got here and he was 3 times faster than everyone else? He's doing it again.
