Tailing the Komets

Looking forward to Friday night

Seems like it's been a lot longer than two weeks since the Komets played at home, doesn't it?

I talked with Komets GM David Franke today and he said they still haven't had any trade interest and they are already looking toward talking with agents next week for an amateur forward and a defenseman. Those spots do count against the regular-season roster, Franke said, but not against the postseason roster for some reason. I'm a little confused on that one. Either way, it doesn't look like the Komets will necessarily have to make a roster move to clear space.

So far we've got two folks who have given me their thoughts on Bob Chase to possibly be included in his book. If any one else would like to participate, please feel free to post it here or email me.

Here's something else: What kind of questions would  you like to see Bob asked in the book?

Back in the old days.......before the internet.......it was nice to be able to pick up chaser on WOWO when i would vacation in south florida, the volume had to be all the way up on my little radio and i had to sit outside on the screened in porch to get the signal, it was nice to go back home for a couple of hours listening to the Komet game. I think the last time i did that was '93 or '94.

Hey Burgee, I know what you mean. I used to live in south Florida and yes, I could actually pick up Chaser on WOWO back then. Nowadays, I have a hard time picking it up on my radio back here in the Fort. What happened to those 10,000 watts???

I know I'm looking forward to tonight's game. It has been forever! Go K's!!!

I have family out east- Appalachian Mountains area- and we used to be able to listen to WOWO the whole drive out there. Everyone in the area knew where Fort Wayne was and who the Komets and Bob Chase were. Every time my family comes into town they always say how much they miss listening to WOWO.
