Lust for life

Rationalization of the day:

There's no question at times of my life, partially driven by how passionately I felt about this country, that I worked far too hard and things happened in my life that were not appropriate," said Gingrich during an interview with CBN's David Brody.

So, he passionately loved his country, which made him work too hard and . . . then what? He was so exhausted that someone not his wife was able to throw him into bed before he could muster the strength to resist? He was so distracted he didn't realize for several weeks that he was even in an affair? He was so overwhelmed with passion "for the country" that he had to get rid of the excess somewhere?

If Massachusetts' health care reform gets Romney, this will get Gingrich.

I can just see Bill jabbing Hillary in the ribs, and saying, "See! It was my patriotism that did me in."
