I was talking with Brad MacMillan before the game and called him Big Bad Brad, which he didn't appreciate because he said he's not that big and he's not bad. Point taken. So Brad needs a nickname and we'll accept applications here and then I'll pass them on to him. What do you think?
Komets came out flying tonight, and looked as good as they have at home in who knows how long to go up 3-0. Then Robin Bouchard got loose twice for a split second and it's 3-2.
The Lumberjacks are 4-0 since they traded Frank Littlejohn. Yep, no surprise.
Guy Dupuis took a minor in the first to give him

Drake and I are watching it on B2 from his hospital room in chicago. Heather called to check in and wouldn't you know Muskegon scores their two goals!! Well here's to Seebass holding the lead!!
Rick
And the K's now blow 3 goal leads just amazing...And Osman gets his butt handed to him by Miller. We are getting pushed around in our own building. Let alone losing at home is bad enough but now we are getting out phyiscal in our building...Oh how the Jungle has fallen.... This time of year you separate the pretenders from the contenders and right now we are pretenders...
What is the word on Legualt I thought he was to be ready to play tonight?
Mac the Knife?
King Pong
Since MtK was already suggested... maybe "Highlander"? As in, "I'm Brad MacMillan from the clan MacMillan. I am immortal. There can be only one," and all that.
i had a feeling that being up 3-0 wouldn't last ecspecially against muskegon and Bouchard!!
Toe,
David Franke says we have enough toughness. Seriously though, when is it going to be enough? Other than Mac, our guys get whooped every night. It is a shame when guys like Osman have to fight and then get humiliated on home ice. I take my hat off to him for standing up but how much of a downer it must be to sit on the bench and see guys like, Holliday, Boulay, and Osman have to drop the gloves and then get their butt handed to them.
I think it was Bruce Richardson who made the comment that "We all feel about 4 inches taller" when the K's signed Henley. I think that speaks volumes.
The fans are tired of our boys getting physically dominated at home!
This had absolutely nothing to do with toughness and everything to do with effort. They played hard for 12 minutes tonight.
Big Shocker that Dupuis got his 998th minor penalty. The "black hole" got caught out of position looking for his shot, the puck got deflected and was beat so he got called for a dumb penalty. In fact we get caught out of position a lot on D period which leads to a lot of odd man rushes. At some point Al needs to crack some heads.
Seemed like we got a 3 goal lead and coasted, leading to 4 unanswered goals. BTW, how many times are guys going to unmarked in the crease for easy goals????? And to think, we made NO moves to get Dmen. Has anyone counted how many Dmen have been traded around the league in the last 3 weeks? And we go after NONE???? Horrible
Osman didn't get "his butt handed to him." He got hit with one good shot and was spun to the ice. In case some of you forgot, Osman did land a pretty good shot of his own at the start of the fight.
Chad it wasn't even close Miller handed it to just like Littlejohn smoke Bertram
I thought it was a draw.
Easily a Draw...what are you smokin Toe?
The first penalty on Guy made me swear out loud, which 99.9% of the time I don't do, it was a bad call. But if you would sneeze in front of an opposing player that idiot would call it interference.
How about Brad "thrillin',killin" Mac Millan.
MAC THRILLER ! blake i have to disagree with you about the toughness part. forwards refusing to go to the net is a lacl of toughness. forward refusing to skate hard up the ice is a lack of toughness. allowing robin bouchard to stand whereever he wants is a lack of toughness. toughness doesnt mean fighting. weve got plenty of guys who drop the gloves, what we dont have are guys who are tough enough to throw a check or take apounding in front of the pipes.
I think we actually agree Chuckitt. To me that's not toughness as much as decent effort. I'm not talking skating hard, I'm talking playing hard, and to me that includes taking the body.
I agree about calling it "effort" rather than just "toughness". It is also what I mean when I say "attitude" and "passion". Because in my mind, that's what drives effort. And when I talk about "confidence", that's just when the attitude and passion are easier to summon. It's as simple as that, and yet not so simple.
Okay... I have one more niickname idea to put forward. This is the one that I've always personally associated with him. It sounds more like the subtitle for one of his fights, but I think it works as a general nickname too: "Mac Attack"
Brad "Hottie" MacMillan....suits him well hence the screen name 15 part! Also, 60 "smokin" LaPlante, and 74 "drop dead" Gravelle.
Oh brother.......
I like MacMillan very much, but I think it is safe to say he isn't a hottie. No offense, Brad. But to each his or her own. Wait... LaPlante is smokin' something? And you're telling Gravelle to drop dead? That seems harsh. :D
It's good to laugh at times especially when the season has been so up and down!
