And only 6 combined penalty minutes. COL was 0-1 on PP, and RC was 0-2 on PP.

Should we be celebrating the fact that Dayton will be back? They are losing money with no end in sight. Having a bad business partner isn't wise.

"Criquets"? Per chance, are those French or French Canadian crickets? Couldn't resist, sorry.

I didn't see the posts in question ( those which were deleted). I wish you would re-post them so we all could see the problem.

I don't know why some have such a problem with those who come on here and try to provide information on the health of the league, the stability of some franchises, and even the rumors that are being tossed around. Why in the world does that bother anyone?

If there was something truly objectionable in those posts then I would delete them. If they merely pointed out what has been rumored, predicted, and included more information on the demise of the CHL, then I would say deleting them was childish behavior.

In my opinion there are four camps of contibutors on here. 1) Those who just post foolish and ridiculous things, never to be taken seriously, 2) those who post on here to express their opinions and get information on the team, players, and league, 3) those who try to provide information to others using other blogs, contacts, and news sources, and 4) those who regularly attack the number 3's, who beat down on them when they are wrong, but never credit them when they are correct.

Personally I want to hear the rumors, Lots of times they come true. Lots of times they don't. I am "adult" enough to make up my own mind. I think most of us are.

P.S. Regarding Dayton. Yes, I see that they ae making plans for next season, but unless someone is willing to throw their money away, I have a hard time believing in their long term future. Too bad. The Dayton Dragons don't have a hard time getting people to watch single A baseball. They have a large enough population to support the Gems easily.

I don't have a lot of positive thoughts for the CHL right now. I like the fact that they allow for more "veteran" players, however.

If they have to, I would rather have teams drop from the league now, before the season, than to have teams fold during the year.

Well it seems the local Mallards backer are trying to save the Mallards.... Here's an article from the QCTimes:

Understandable and for their fans I hope they are able to find a sucker..err owner, but I wouldn't hold my breath in the Quad Cities. 4 owners in 4 years, all time low in attendance this past year, and a downward slide with no end in sight..except for the team folding.

Pro hockey is a dried up market in QC,

Det has proven Euro Hockey doesn't get it done. Van/St. Jose and Bos/Tam are both very tough hockey clubs. Redwings need to find toughness so there star players don't get pushed around
