Watching John McCain's acceptance speech at the Republican convention, and he just introducued his mother! He's still dragging her around with him. Mama's boy! What a pantywaist weakling. Is that the kind of sissy we want leading this country? It's not like she couldn't get away if she wanted to:
Nothing, not even skyrocketing gas prices, seems to slow down Roberta McCain, the indefatigable 96-year-old mother of Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) and a notorious lead-foot behind the wheel. She's still speeding around like a NASCAR driver on the last lap.
Mrs. McCain told us at a recent cocktail party that she got a $40 speeding ticket in Chevy Chase a few weeks ago. "Don't speed up there," she warned with a wry smile.
John McCain looks pretty beat up to me. I doubt if he'll be speeding around like that when he's 96.

As for John...he might surprise a lot of us.
As for John's mom...somehow the Jan & Dean song "Little Old Lady from Pasadena" keeps playing in my head...lol!

John has had his health issues for sure, but today, a guy 72 is by no means ready to put out to pasture. My dad is 83 and still plays 3 sets of tennis everyday, and I'm not positive but I think he can still kick my arse.
My wife and I had the same reaction when we heard his mom call him a "mama's boy." i think she sees him as many moms do, hard to believe how fast time has gone by.
