An interesting piece of trivia:
According to International Hockey League and United Hockey League records, Sunday's game was the 4,000th regular-season game in Fort Wayne pro hockey history. The Komets played 3,524 games during their 47 years in the IHL, and Sunday was their 476th regular-season game during their seven years in the UHL. They have also played 415 playoff games. The Komets have 2,006 wins, 1,627 losses, 162 shootout losses and 234 ties. That doesn't add up to 4,000 because there was a five-year-stretch in the mid-1980s when the IHL counted overtime losses as both losses and ties.
