Very interesting. I hope for everyone's sake involved he fits well, stays healthy, and has a great rest of the season.

Can't wait to get a Jon Mirasty jersey!

Is there any way to get a game tape for tonight's contest?

Sat, 02/05/2011 - 3:55pm

Any idea when we will see hime for the first time. What will this due to the roster now?? Will we have room if Ratchuk comes back? How many more people can we get before someone has to go??

Blake will he be in line up tonight? A lot of hype sure would be a bummer if he is not in line up tonight

We are not taping the game tonight. Did last nights.

Sat, 02/05/2011 - 4:40pm

i want to know the same lineup question. Please Blake, work your magic :)

Just looked on CHL transactions and found this.
Fort Wayne 02/05/11 Rodger, Keith (D) waived
Fort Wayne 02/05/11 Mironovic, Danko (D) activated from IR.
Feel bad for Keith but I seen it coming.

i think cousin warner and musselwhite will be next. both can play at this level but right now neither stand out and we have too many of the same type of player. any other thoughts out there?

Straight from the Crunch blog in regards to Mirasty...

"Now, he's isolated at the lowest rung of pro hockey."

What a beautiful slap in the face to the chl and the Fort Wayne Komets!

That writer is making no friends in FW.

The Komets could easily be in the ECHL. And i'm glad they aren't. The ECHL is about as boring as minor league hockey gets. The Central league provides fans with a on-ice product that they actually want to pay to see. Rather than a bunch of European players who skate real fast, can do fancy passes, but won't hit or do anything to make a game worth watching. Let alone something you'd want to shell out your hard earned money to see.

, in the ECHL, Jon Mirasty wasn't even being allowed to play the way which has made him such a fan favorite throughout the North American minor leagues. Nevertheless, this won't be Mirasty's last stop. This is just the best thing for him, not to mention the fans of old time hockey in Fort Wayne.

I can easily see Neil wanting to play somewhere where he can get some legitimate ice time. He's too young to be sitting on the "IR" waiting to get to play. I'm in the air with Warner. Maybe trade bait or he could milk the "IR" for longer. I think a forward with a Warner trade could get us a decent D-man in return. Not a great D-man but someone who can be trusted with taking the puck up the ice. Unless Ratchuk comes back.

I doubt that reporter could care any less about what people in Fort Wayne think.

Chuckitt: The Komets will NEVER let Warner go. He's untouchable.

Hope the Komets get another win tonight. Great heart coming back tonight. Let's not fig a deep boring hole like last night and instead play an entire game of Komet hockey. Let's have a blowout win for a change!

Sat, 02/05/2011 - 5:13pm

didn't say he would care RK just said I don't like him (even if he speaks the truth)

Sat, 02/05/2011 - 5:44pm

I'm curious why they aren't playing Musslewhite. He has better numbers than A-Pod and Francis (PP notwitstanding). He brings alot of energy.

Sat, 02/05/2011 - 5:44pm

The buzz around town is amazing, my phone has been ringing off the hook with friends of mine excited about Mirasty playing here!

I really beleive he is gonna bring back some people that stopped attending games from the lack of physicality and excitement....

Sat, 02/05/2011 - 5:48pm

Win or lose, if Mirasty is given a chance to do what he does best, you won't have a game where you'll feel you haven't received your moneys worth.

Sat, 02/05/2011 - 6:01pm

Looks Like they are playing the IR game or did Francis really get hurt last nite. Was Roger getting waived the same kind of situation as Nuarato or just making room for Mirasty. I could think of some other D-Men i would of waived before Rodger.

02/05/11 Rodger, Keith (D) waived
02/05/11 Musselwhite, Neil (F) activated from IR
02/05/11 Mironovic, Danko (D) activated from IR
02/04/11 Francis, Chris (F) placed on 10 day IR

Wasn't it Francis who got busted in the mouth last night with the puck? I saw someone get it right in mouth, but couldn't tell who it was.

If it was Francis that got hit, I'd say it's probably a little bit of both the IR game and legit injury.

I feel bad for Keith, but after watching him play last night, you could see his days were numbered. It's unfortunate he got caught in the numbers game. Hopefully he catches on somewhere that doesn't allow him to "pay back the Komets."

Sat, 02/05/2011 - 6:08pm

Yikes!! I hope my comment didn't have anything to do with Francis being placed on the IR. It's true, I don't think he is performing, but I certainly didn't mean for this.

Sat, 02/05/2011 - 6:10pm

I'm not familiar with Mirasty. What is it that "Mirasty does best if given the chance"? He's a scorer I take it and he will need good players around him?

Sat, 02/05/2011 - 6:10pm

No it was Apod that took the puck in the mouth. It was right in fromt of us.

Sat, 02/05/2011 - 6:12pm

No MIrasty is a fighter he had over 300 penalty minutes last year.

Sat, 02/05/2011 - 6:14pm

I hear you, breslyn. I think we both know reporters like to write stuff to stir the pot. Gets readers and hopefully some money if papers sell.

Still no word on when Nasty plays?

Sat, 02/05/2011 - 6:14pm

Play with your hearts and play smart tonight Komets--lots of shifting to deal with again and we know you can do it!

I think Rodger caught the "good-bye" puck in the smile....

Sun, 02/06/2011 - 1:04am

No, it was A-Pod...Happened right infront of me on the blue line
