Mission accomplished

We love the little animals, and we are acitivists! So we shall raid the evil mink farm and set some of God's creatures free! What could possibly go wrong?

Police said they are still searching for those responsible for the break-in at the farm in Frankenförde, which resulted in the release of 4,000 minks last Sunday evening.

About 2,000 of the weasel-like carnivores have been captured, but the other half have been snacking freely on local farm fowl, wild birds and other small animals, police reported.

[. . .]

According to Grosser, the rampaging pack of mink requires about one tonne of food in just three days.

German nature protection association (NABU) said the release of so many mink is an environmental catastrophe.

But there'll be a handful of celebrities who won't be able to get their fur coats, so it probably all evens out.

These animal rights extremists do this sort of thing on a regular basis. These idiots, not understanding that lab animals are fully domesticated and incapable of living in the wild, "liberate" them anyway.
The local red hawks, coyotes, wolves, cats, dogs and other predators enjoy a feast that lasts several days, the labs have to order more animals, and absolutely nohing useful is accomplished toward more humane treatment of animals.
I love cute animals, too, but these extremists really ought to think these things through before acting.
