David Franke said it's a two-year deal, and he'll be one of the Komets' two summer contracts (the other is Nick Boucher), and that means they won't have to make a drastic roster move to fit him in. They expect him NYE. Chaulk will help with recruiting for next year as well, and marketing, etc., over the summer.
Artem Podshendyalov is waiting for immigration papers and may play Wednesday.

Also, everyone made it back OK, but it took some doing. Tab Lardner arrived back in FW after the bus had left and is driving to Dayton. Keith Rodger and Chris Francis had to fly into Indy and rent a car to get to Dayton. Everyone should make it in time.

The Salary Cap has to be like working a 5000 piece puzzle. Unreal all the variables. Putting guys into a structure for full-time year round pay, etc. It must get pretty grey in areas?

I pulled into my driveway when shootout started.... all 3 dayton guys miss ... Guy scored chase said 2 in a row .. we won .. and the post game show was comming up ... I turned car off and went into the house. Now I find out that we lost in the shootout. I was thinking they did 5 shooters. but figured chase knew better than I do .... Guess not.
