Komets General Manager David Franke said discussions with Pascal Morency are going well. The team is close to signing defenseman A.J. Bozoian and a rookie goaltender, possibly to be announced Thursday, and Matt Elich has turned down the Komets' final offer and will likely play in Italy.
As for the rumors with Chaulk, he is prohibited under UHL rules of coming back any time this season because he has started the season in Europe. So, let's please move on to different rumors.

Wait a minute Blake, yes those rumors about Chaulk need to end, but I was under the impression that even if you start in Europe you can return during the season, this is what Luciuk did last season, but you can't return if you leave the UHL team and go to Europe then try and return. Or, did they change the rule this offseason. Please let us all know..

Alleghe. They aren't guaranteed for the players, not the teams. In minor league sports, very little is in favor of the players.

I'm glad they are close to signing Bozoian. He at least deserves a chance to prove himself in camp. He has great speed, a hard shot, and I've seen him throw some good checks occasionally. I thought he had more potential of becoming a great player more than any of the other rookies we had last year. If other rookies beat him out come preseason time, then so be it.
More exciting is that talks are going well with Morency. While he is not the total answer to the team's toughness, I'll bet he would make a vital part of it.
Not too suprised about Elich. Good player, but from rumors it might be better for both him and the Komets to go different ways.
Any idea on who the rookie goalie might be, Blake? Is it the rookie we picked up from Adirondack in the drafts?
