For my own curiosity

How many of you buy the paper, and how many of you read it on-line? Just reply with buy or on-line. Thanks.

seriously I prefer holding a paper in my hand instead of trying to read stories on a screen. I worry by the time kids today have kids of their own, there will be few if any print papers left.

So basically what most of you are saying is that I'm doing all this extra work for free. LOL. Thanks a lot :(

Are you saying that our admiration and gratitude isn't enough for you?

So why don't you get a sponsor for your blog Blake? Isn't it all about the advertising?

Don't get me worng Blake, If I lived in Ft. Wayne I would buy the NS and probably the JG. I don't so I can't. Can't do much with the blog if all I do is read the paper anyway. This is much cooler.

sources have told me that your position is currently at the top of the salary cap and there is no room for any upward movement whatsoever.

Blake, I do occasionally buy the N/S at the corner c-store and the N/S does give out free copies at the games which I take home and read.

I subscribed and they still called me 3 times a week trying to sell me the other one. Then they send kids to your door that need to raise money for college.. Like I care how stupid other people's kids are..lol.

Online. Used to subscribe to NS until I was hounded so much to get the JG that I cancelled and told them never to call me again....about 60 times. Ultimatly talked to the CD. After that I was sure I didn't want either one anymore. Looking at the comments I would say the indictment isn't on Blake or the product but on the circulation dept and marketing!!

I like to read the N-S for the hockey coverage. If the Komets are at home, at least a box score will be in the next day's paper.

Sorry Justin if you read this (I'm guessing it may be the edition I see - I live north of FW), but I don't know how many times the Komets can be playing a home game and it won't be in the next day, but Indiana (and I am an IU fan) can be playing halfway across the country in a game that doesn't get over until after the hockey game. Guess which one gets in (it usually isn't the team wearing orange and black).

Again, that may be an unfair criticism based on the edition I see, but it is frustrating to not be able to find out the results of the game in the morning paper the next day.

I feel the N-S does a better job of giving priority coverage to the LOCAL teams (HS, college and pro) first. I know there are a lot of IU, Purdue and ND fans around here, but in my opinion, every effort should be made to give the Komets, Wizards, IPFW and so forth prime coverage.

I realize the economics of the newspaper business probably don't allow it until the playoffs roll around (and BOTH papers and Blake AND Justin do a great job of covering the Komets in the playoffs), but I seem to remember when the Komet reporters covered the road games during the season too.

Just my thoughts of observing the coverage in the last 20-25 years.

Anybody else use those free Komet calenders at the office? This month I have to stare at Colin Chaulk, October is Puhalski. Next month is Icy thank god, unless he runs off to Europe for more mascot money!

Read the blogs, read the N-S every night, read the J-G Sunday sports only since I can't stand the rest of that paper. Anyone else wondering how Bruce Richardson would feel about Bob Chase's comment this morning that this has been a slow signing week for the Komets?
